WASHINGTON, DC - As the wheels continue to come off the Biden presidency, he continues to conduct interviews with friendly media outlets. Unfortunately for Biden, he continues to stumble.
The New York Post reports that in a sit-down with Black Entertainment Television (BET) this week, Biden was pandering to the primarily black viewership in the network, bragging about how many blacks he has appointed to key positions in his administration.
The problem was that Biden, who continues to suffer untimely memory lapses and other gaffes, couldn't remember the name of Lloyd Austin, his Secretary of Defense. Biden was talking about how he has made it a point to appoint black people to key administration positions.
“It’s all about treating people with dignity. For example, look at the heat I’m getting becauseI named a, uh, the secretary of defense [unintelligible] black man,” Biden said.
He then confused his first Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson with Austin.
“I named Ketanji Brown, I mean, because of the people I’ve named,” he said.
Biden was lit up on X.
“Let’s see how the Biden dead-enders spin this one,” posted one user.
“A POTUS who cannot remember the name of his SecDef–and instead calls him ‘the black man’--is not mentally equipped to be in charge of 5,000 nuclear weapons,” another one said.
The Biden defenders, meanwhile, came to his defense, claiming his comments were being misconstrued.
“I think people are misconstruing this clip. If you listen closely, Biden seems to say ‘the secretary of defense, a black man’ not ‘the black man’; and the context is he’s listing his black appointees,” one person tweeted.
This is at least the second time Biden has forgotten Austin’s name. In March 2021, was announcing the nomination of two female generals to lead US military combat commands, The New York Post reported.
“And I want to thank the sec–the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my–the guy who runs that outfit [the Pentagon] over there,” Biden said.
Meanwhile, a Biden spokesperson didn’t address Biden’s word salad when contacted by The Post, and rather listed ways Biden has allegedly helped black Americans.
“President Biden talked at length about the importance of black America, the historic ways he has delivered for black communities, and his proactive vision to stand up for civil rights, grow an economy where hard work pays off, and make housing more affordable,” senior spokesperson Sarafina Chitka said.
“Meanwhile at the RNC, Donald Trump and his allies doubled down on extremism, division, and their Project 2025 agenda, making it clear that they are only interested in helping billionaires while turning Americans against each other. The choice couldn’t be more clear.”
Biden of course has a long history of making racist remarks about blacks and other marginalized groups. For example, on The Morning Club, a popular radio show among blacks, Biden told the largely black audience that if they didn’t know if they were for him or Trump, then “you ain’t black.”
In another statement in 2019, Biden said, “Poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids,” insinuating that black kids were automatically considered poor.
In August 2020, a black reporter asked Biden if he had taken a cognitive test, to which he responded insinuating the reporter used drugs:
"That's like saying you…before you got on this program, you’re take [sic] a test whether you’re taking cocaine or not,” Biden said. “What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?”
In 2010, Biden eulogized his “longtime friend” Sen. Robert Byrd, who was an Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan, calling Byrd “one of my mentors” and saying that “the Senate is a lesser place for his going.”
In 2007, Biden referred to Barack Obama, then a candidate for president, as “the first mainstream African-AMerican who is articulate, bright and clean.”
Biden was a longtime opponent of racial integration in schools, and in 1977, speaking in opposition to mandatory busing to desegregate schools would cause his children to “grow up in a racial jungle.”
Biden’s latest gaffe comes as more Democratic lawmakers are calling on him to withdraw from the 2024 presidential election, with reports saying Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have all told Biden they think he should withdraw after his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump last month. It is also believed Barack Obama, whom Biden served under as his vice president, is also pushing Biden to drop out.
Biden has done little to redeem himself since then, with several public speaking events signaling that Biden’s cognitive deterioration is accelerating.

If anyone doesn't understand where we are at I would like someone to address this. Millions of Americans are fully aware of this clown's racist remarks. Yet, without one factual example the same millions will call Trump a racist. Anyone who supports anyone but a DemoRat is also a racist. They say Maga as if it was something from the worst of the worst. Going back to Wilson and FDR the party of racists has always been the DemoRats.
