Hate crime? Woman ripped from vehicle, savagely beaten in Seattle road rage attack

SEATTLE, WA - A shocking road rage incident in Seattle on Saturday saw a 22-year-old woman ripped from her vehicle by two women who then proceeded to savagely beat her on the side of the road.

The woman whose name was withheld by KCPQ-TV, citing her fear of retribution, was reportedly traveling to visit her father in a Yakima nursing home where he is being treated for brain injury after the removal of three tumors. She told reporters that she accidentally cut off the suspect's vehicle, and the incident, which started as road rage, escalated to a full-blown assault.
Katie Daviscourt of The Post Millennial reported via X, "A tourist was savagely beaten by two female suspects who pulled her out of her vehicle in a road rage incident. Police couldn't respond since they are understaffed. Help identify these suspects."

The victim told reporters, "Both girls dragged me out of my truck and started beating me and, while I was getting beat up in the intersection, my truck rolled down the hill into three parked cars. And my sister had to chase it and try to stop it so it didn't hurt anybody."

A good samaritan reportedly stepped in and broke up the fight, pulling the attackers off of the woman. The women can be seen in footage obtained by the outlet casually walking back to a Range Rover, hopping in, and driving off.

Many of the witnesses who spoke with the local reporters were critical of the response time from Seattle police. From the first calls to 911 from bystanders and the victim, it took approximately three and a half hours for the first SPD patrol officers to respond.

The victim told Fox 13 Seattle, "It’s disheartening that Seattle Police didn’t show up in a timely manner. We could have got those girls. They were a mile away on the beach partying."

One witness, Wendy Carrington stated, "It’s sad that this is the state of our city. That I have to worry. You have to worry. We all have to worry. That we could be victimized, and then the criminals are emboldened, knowing there is no accountability for their actions."

Carrington was among the good samaritans who attempted to help the victim and waited with her for approximately two hours. "I kept apologizing for our city, saying, ‘I'm sorry you had to experience this.’ This is just awful," Carrington said.

The victim told Fox 13 that she feels no one is taking her case seriously. "Nobody is contacting me. Nobody is reaching out. Nobody is wanting to find these girls except for me," she added.

The suspects have not been identified as of this report despite the readily available footage. Anyone who can help identify the assailants can contact SPD's violent crimes tip line at (206) 233-5000.
