World leaders are now warning about World War III - and it is time to start paying attention

When Sweden warns its citizenry to prepare for war, paying attention is a good idea. And Sweden is hardly alone in taking such a stance.

In a piece written for The Economic Collapse Blog by Michael Snyder, he observes that prominent leaders worldwide are signaling the belief that World War III may be fast approaching. Typically, the United States might be expected to exercise our military might to fend off such an event. However, with the Biden administration playing rope-a-dope with the Houthis in the Middle East instead of turning Iran into glass, there is no fear the United States will do anything but allow us to become a punching bag.

Snyder acknowledges that while some world leaders believe such a war can be avoided, saber-rattling across the globe not only continues but has increased. He notes that several entities are escalating said conflict in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine shows no signs of ending soon, and China continues to signal an invasion of Taiwan. Snyder observed that while most people remain fat, dumb, and happy, there is a genuine risk that things could escalate very soon.

For example, last week, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps acknowledged the world is now in a “pre-war world” and that the West could soon see itself in conflict with Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.

“...now is the time for all allies and democratic nations across the world to…make sure their defense spending is growing too," he said. "Because as we discussed, the era of the peace dividend is over. In five years, we could look at multiple theatres, including Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.

"…we find ourselves at the dawn of this new era. [The] Berlin Wall a distant memory, but we have come full circle, moving from a post-war to a pre-war world. An age of idealism has been replaced by a period of hard-headed realism.”

We can deny it all we want, but the war drums are sounding, which anyone who has been paying attention knows.

British officials aren’t the only ones sounding the alarm about a coming war. Snyder quoted a U.S. official who also rang the alarm. "A source inside the Pentagon has warned Daily Express US that 'we are on the brink of World War 3' amid surging conflict in the Middle East sparked largely by Iran.

"That Pentagon official is defense expert Nicholas Drummond, who claims the current conflict started by the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7 could spell 'the end of Iran.' Defense expert Nicholas Drummond echoed concerns that the conflict in the Middle East could potentially escalate but warned that if Tehran directly attacked Israel, the ensuing war would be 'the end of Iran.'”

With the Biden administration taking the position that Israel must give in to a “two-state solution” and give up territory to the Palestinians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thus far resisted those efforts since that would merely give Iran and the terrorist regimes it sponsors a place from which to attack Israel further. Iran, emboldened by the weakness of Biden and flush with American cash, has stepped up attacks on Israel via the Houthis, who have likewise targeted American assets in the Meditteranean.

So, what would the “end of Iran” look like? With that rogue country moving ever-so-close to weaponizing uranium and with Israel’s promise that they will never allow Iran to obtain nuclear arms, it is easy to imagine what that would look like.

That brings us to Russia, which has been engaged with Ukraine for close to three years. Much of the World War talk comes from Moscow, where one of that country’s most prominent newscasters recently told his audience the world was “moving towards World War III.”

“We are moving towards World War III. In my opinion, it’s already underway. By the way, Trump thinks so too,” said Vladimir Solovyov, the radio host.

The former and future president, Trump, told a crowd in Iowa recently that “we’re very close to World War III.”

“World War III, we’re very close. I don’t know if you feel it. I don’t know, madam attorney general, if you feel like it, but we’re very close to World War III when you see these discussions taking place.”

Snyder also believes that, in some ways, the cold phase of World War III has already started, however, he notes that Trump and other officials are referring to a “hot phase” when actual military action takes place.

From an article in the Daily Mail:

"Leaked German intelligence documents suggest Berlin expects Russia to launch another wave of attacks to overwhelm Ukraine and is scrambling to come up with contingency plans in the event Russian troops march westward from Belarus.

"The Israel-Hamas conflict threatens to spread violence across the Middle East, with Iran’s so-called ‘Axis of Resistance’--including Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthi Rebels–increasing their attacks on Israel and commercial shipping routes, prompting the UK and US to launch a series of devastating strikes by air and sea.

"Further East, Taiwan’s election of a new democracy-loving president has angered Beijing even further, with a Chinese invasion of the island nation in the coming years looking even more likely."

However, it appears the first shoe to drop will be in the Middle East. Where the region was stable during the Trump administration, especially after several nations signed on to the Abraham Accords, Biden’s ineptitude has emboldened our enemies, Iran in particular, to the point where last week, they launched missiles and drones into Iraq, Syria, and Pakistan.

Within 24 hours, Iran launched missile and drone strikes on targets in three countries–Iraq, Syria, and Pakistan–and took the extraordinary step of announcing its responsibility for the attacks, triggering anger from its neighbors.

Iran claimed it attacked Iraq because it was targeting “an Israeli spy hub.”

The attack caused Iraq to recall its ambassador to Iran after the Iranian strike killed four civilians and injured six. According to Tehran, the strike “targeted an Israeli consulate near the U.S. consulate in Erbil, the Kurdistan regional capital city.”

Iran’s claim was rejected outright by Iraqi Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, who called the attack a “crime against the Kurdish people.”

Baghdad’s Foreign Ministry called the attacks a “violation of international law” and vowed to lodge a complaint with the United Nations Security Council. Meanwhile, France’s Foreign Ministry accused Iran of “contributing to the escalation of regional tensions” and demanded they stop.

As to the strikes in Syria and Pakistan, Tehran said they were trying to attack Sunni groups that “commit acts of terrorism.”

Tehran also hit what it said were Islamic State targets in northern Syria in tandem with its strikes on Iraq. It then went on to target the headquarters of a Sunni armed group in Pakistan’s western Balochistan province near the Iranian border.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry slammed Iran for engaging in “the unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran.” That strike killed two children while injuring three more. They added, “...it is even more concerning that this illegal act has taken place despite the existence of several channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran.”

Pakistan, we might remind you, has nuclear weapons. Should they be called into a regional conflict, things could get very bad very fast.

Iran, no doubt feeling its oats since it appears to have the Biden administration wrapped around its finger, warned they won’t hesitate to conduct similar strikes in the future:

The morning after Iranian attacks on neighboring Pakistan and Iraq, Iran’s defense minister vowed Wednesday that his country would “not set any limits” on using its missile capabilities against enemies whenever necessary.

“We are a missile power in the world,” Mohammad Reza Ashtiani told reporters, Iranian state media reported. “Wherever they want to threaten the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will react, and this reaction will definitely be proportionate, tough, and decisive.”

Then there is Israel and Hezbollah, which are engaged on Israel’s northern border. The IDF hit targets in southern Lebanon on Tuesday after repeated attacks by Lebanon-based Hezbollah. The IDF said that Hezbollah uses the Saluki Valley for its activities. Lebanese officials said the Israeli airstrike was one of the largest thus far since hostilities renewed on Oct. 7, with the IDF striking 15 different targets in at least 30 launched airstrikes.

Not to be outdone, the United States has also begun to engage, albeit in little jabs, hitting the Houthis in Yemen last week with a “pre-emptive attack” before the terrorist organization could launch anti-ship ballistic missiles.

On Tuesday, US forces carried out another round of strikes on Houthi sites in Yemen, but this time, the operation is being dubbed a “pre-emptive” attack that came in response to militants preparing missile launches on the ground in real-time.

“US forces struck and destroyed four Houth anti-ship ballistic missiles,” a Central Command (CENTCOM) statement said. “These missiles were prepared to launch from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and presented an imminent threat to both merchant and US Navy ships in the region.”

Buckle up, folks. The year 2024 looks to be very interesting and not in a good way. Where the United States fought World War II on several fronts, a potential World War III could literally be a global conflict.

In 1941, it took an attack on Pearl Harbor before the American people were sufficiently angry enough to engage with Germany, Japan, and Italy. On September 11, 2001, an angry American public fully stood behind President Bush when he decided to attack Afghanistan and when he claimed there were “weapons of mass destruction” in Iraq. But we are in a different time and definitely in a different place as a country.

Were the US to be attacked, how many of these moonbats protesting across the country on behalf of Hamas would pick up arms to defend our country? Not many, we would venture.

There is also the issue of our porous southern border. How many members of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Chinese Communist Party, the Houthis, and others have entered our country unabated and are ready to carry out orders when they come?

Sadly, we have no idea, but it could be in the hundreds of thousands, if not more. This is at a time when the United States government is trying to take away our right to arm ourselves and has used the wheels of government to persecute those who would take up arms to defend our country. Criminals are released from jail without punishment, while moms and dads who protest at school board meetings against the indoctrination of their kids are called domestic terrorists.

World War III is here, Snyder believes, and although the “shot heard round the world” hasn’t been fired yet, we think he is on to something. Is the world really ready to spin out of control? It sure seems that way. And we must be prepared, or this remarkable “experiment” known as the United States of America may become a distant memory.

I don't think China or Russia will start a war with us as those 2 countries have the vast majority of our fed bonds. If they start a war they will loose billions cause we wont pay for them and the bonds will become wortless. We would also stop buying all those products they send us. Think about it.
