New Haven, CT: In a business world where corporate promises don't always translate into meaningful action, Avelo Airlines is demonstrating what it means to truly stand behind America's law enforcement community.

The airline recently stepped up in a major way to help the family of fallen Connecticut State Trooper Aaron Pelletier attend the upcoming Big Blue Bash, a major law enforcement event scheduled for November 17, 2026.

The event will feature a special presentation honoring families of fallen law enforcement officers, with senior Department of Justice and federal law enforcement leaders expected to participate.

Among those being recognized will be Pelletier's family, including his widow, two young sons, and his best friend, accompanied by two Connecticut state troopers.

Getting everyone there, however, presented a challenge.

That's where Avelo Airlines came in.

A Company That Answered The Call

Avelo had already demonstrated its support for law enforcement in 2025 by donating round-trip airline tickets for two to the inaugural Big Blue Bash.

When the original recipients generously returned their unused tickets to the organization, event organizers hoped to redirect the donation toward Pelletier's family. Unfortunately, the vouchers were approaching their November 1 expiration date, while the family's planned travel was November 15–18.

Kyle Reyes, owner of Law Enforcement Today, reached out to Avelo Airlines with a request: Could the airline extend the vouchers and potentially provide additional tickets for the family's traveling companions and law enforcement escorts?

The response was incredible.

Courtney Goff, Communications Manager for Avelo Airlines, immediately expressed the company's willingness to help.

“Happy to donate whatever we need to do!” Goff wrote. “Always appreciate our federal, state, and local law enforcement!”

Within days, Avelo provided vouchers covering all six travelers, including checked baggage, carry-on baggage, seat selection, and priority boarding.

Goff even coordinated with the airline's customer support team to help facilitate the booking process.

This isn't the first time Avelo Airlines has stepped up to support America's heroes and their families. In November 2022, the airline donated six complimentary round-trip tickets to the family of U.S. Army Reserve Master Sergeant Michael David Clark, who tragically lost his life while serving on active duty, demonstrating the company's longstanding commitment to honoring those who serve and sacrifice.

More Than a Corporate Donation

Reyes has been advocating for America’s law enforcement for many years - long before “it became cool”. He was among the nation’s most prominent voices during the most challenging times when liberal politicians, celebrities and influencers of all types attempted to demonize the entire profession in recent years.

Mathew Silverman, National President of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, also expressed appreciation for Avelo's assistance and its support for first responders.

Avelo's contribution helps address another important piece of the journey: getting them there.

For a family whose sacrifice can never truly be repaid, gestures like these serve as powerful reminders that their loved one's service has not been forgotten.

To Courtney Goff and the entire Avelo Airlines team - Thank you.

Thank you for supporting law enforcement, honoring a fallen hero's family, and demonstrating that compassion, integrity, and genuine corporate citizenship still have a place in American business.

Sometimes the most meaningful way to honor those who have given everything is simply to show up for the people they left behind.

Avelo Airlines did exactly that.
