WASHINGTON, DC - The definition of gaslighting:
: psychological manipulation of a person usually over an extended period of time that causes the victim to question the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories…or loosely defined as “manipulating someone into questioning their own perception of reality.
Earlier this week, Biden (or more accurately his handlers) published a tweet on X in which he (once again) blamed Republicans for the 10 million-plus illegal aliens he and his administration have allowed into the country.
Biden again went back to the so-called “bipartisan” border bill that is actually an amnesty bill masquerading as a border bill.
The tweet claims, “By blocking the bipartisan border agreement, they put partisan politics ahead of our country’s national security.”
That is laughable.
And, as expected, mainstream media helps him by publishing misleading headlines to cover his outright lies.
For over three years, it is Joe Biden who has been putting partisan politics over our national security. Border states such as Texas have attempted to protect their citizens where Biden, Mayorkas, and the rest of this fraud administration refuse to. And how is old “bipartisan Joe” acting? Having his Department of Justice sue Texas to prevent the state from doing what they will not.
Among the first actions Biden took when he was installed into office was to reverse every single executive order signed by former President Donald Trump, including those which secured our southern border. He signed 10 executive orders in his first 100 days that specifically addressed opening the southern border.
According to Pew Research, in April, 2020 (Trump’s last year in office), encounters with illegal aliens at the US-Mexico border totaled 16,182. In June 2023, that number had surged to 99,538, and by December 2023, that number increased one-and-one-half times to 249,735, a record for such encounters. These numbers do not include so-called “gotaways.” Who again is responsible for the crisis at the border?
Earlier in May, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reported that according to documents received via a FOIA lawsuit, the Biden administration has flown 326,000 illegal aliens into the United States to states such as Texas, New York, California, and overwhelmingly Florida, home of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). Who is playing “partisan politics” again?
Then there is the issue of crime. Despite more gaslighting to the negative, illegal aliens, which primarily consist of military-aged males, are responsible for a significant amount of crime. Aside from the fact that merely by entering the United States illegally makes them criminals, many of those crossing into the US have criminal records.
According to the Heritage Foundation, the Border Patrol in 2023 encountered thousands of illegal aliens with prior criminal convictions, including assault, rape and murder. Moreover, there are an estimated 1.5 million “gotaways” that have slinked into the U.S. since Biden’s term began in January 2021. A 2021 Department of Justice report showed that 64% of all federal arrests in 2018 involved noncitizens. And some of those crimes are horrifying.
In July 2021, an illegal alien from Cuba with a history of violence, Alexis Saborit, beheaded his girlfriend with a machete.
In January 2023, Jose Hernandez was arrested for sexually assaulting a child multiple times. In February of that year, Bryan Marquez, who had deportation orders but managed to still be in the U.S. was arrested for first-degree murder after brutally beating his roommate, killing him. In April 2023, Francisco Oropeza, who had been deported four times in 14 years, gunned down five Honduran immigrants in Texas, including an eight-year-old child.
Then there is Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at Augusta University in Georgia, who was abducted and killed in broad daylight on Feb. 22, 2024 as she was going for a jog on the University of Georgia campus.
An illegal alien, Jose Ibarra, was arrested in connection with her murder and indicted on ten counts, including malice murder and felony murder. Police say Riley was killed by “blunt force trauma” to her head, with investigators saying Ibarra also “seriously disfigured her head by striking her ‘multiple times’ with a rock,” according to ABC News. It has been also alleged she was sexually assaulted.
The so-called “bipartisan” border bill is a trap and is an amnesty bill in disguise. Among the “features,” it would enshrine ‘catch and release'' into federal law, would allow at least 5,000 illegal entries per day before Biden would “shut the border down,” would grant asylum to untold numbers of illegals, the first step in a pathway to citizenship, would replace immigration judges with so-called “asylum officers” who would simply rubber stamp bogus asylum claims, and would have the American people fund attorneys for illegal aliens. It’s a steaming pile of garbage.
This is what we have come to expect from the Biden administration, which has taken gaslighting to a whole new level.
There are lies and damned lies. Biden claiming Republicans are doing nothing to secure the border is a damned lie.
