California Girls Told to Seek Psych Help If They Want Bathroom Privacy from Boys

TEMECULA VALLEY, CA- To say we are living in the Twilight Zone, at least in blue states, is a vast understatement. American Greatness reports that a school district in California has implemented a new rule for young girls who don’t want to share bathrooms with boys pretending to be girls.

The girls, who are nothing more than concerned for their safety, are being forced to file a mental health accommodation request. 

You read that correctly. They are not mandating boys who think they are girls to file a psych accommodation. They are forcing girls, who possess no psychological issues or disabilities, to file the request. 

Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), children with disabilities, typically autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, or anxiety, are entitled to accommodations. There are two such plans: Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 plans.

Not wanting to share bathroom accommodations with someone who is play-acting does not fall under the Act. Tell that to the Temecula Valley Unified School District. 

When word of the mandate became public, parents and others understandably became outraged, noting that instead of addressing the problem individually, it punishes the group, in this case, girls, by treating their request as a disability. 

The form required by the school district complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and California Education Code § 56000, posted on the California Department of Education, has the following statement asking for an accommodation:

“I am requesting a mental health accommodation on behalf of my child. This request is made in accordance with federal and state laws, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and California Education codes. 

“Please describe the mental health condition and the nature of the accommodation being requested (e.g., diagnosed anxiety, PTSD, etc.).

“If available, please attach supporting documentation (e.g., medical diagnosis, 504 Plan, counseling records, etc.).” 

Critics of the proposed policy complain that school officials or radical gender-bending groups shouldn’t be permitted to redefine fundamental rights, such as privacy, as “accommodations.” 

One critic is Sonja Shaw, who is running for California State Superintendent in 2026, calling it “pure madness.” 

“The girls are treated as the problem. This is upside-down, dangerous, and exactly what we warned would happen.” 

Radical gender ideology policies in blue states have come under increasing fire, and some pundits claim one reason for Donald Trump being elected as the 47th president was due to the fringe radical nuts pushing the extreme trans agenda.

A significant portion of the American people oppose gender affirming surgery for minors and boys or men playing in female sports. 

The stage has been set for a showdown in the United States Supreme Court. Earlier this year, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted 7-4 to uphold a Florida school policy requiring students to use bathroom facilities based on their biological sex. The court ruled that protecting privacy and safety was not discrimination under Title IX. 

Meanwhile, other courts have ruled differently, meaning that at some point, the Supreme Court will have to rule on the split decisions.
