EAST GRANBY, CT- “Turn down the temperature.” That is what Democrats have been “saying” about the current state of politics in this country. What they’ve been doing is far different. As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words.
East Granby is a small New England town located about 10 miles northwest of Hartford and is adjacent to Connecticut’s only international airport, a typical “bedroom” community comprised primarily of single-family homes and some light industry.
Now the Connecticut Centinal reports that the Democratic first selectman candidate in the upcoming election decided to post what is clearly a swastika with the word “MAGA” emblazoned across it. Below it are the words: “The Confederacy: Defeated 1865,” “Nazism: Defeated 1945,” and “MAGAism Defeat: In Progress. The candidate, Jason Hayes, posted the picture on his social media account, which was captured in a screenshot by East Granby resident Bob Margolis.
Not a swastika, according to Hayes:

Margolis, who is Jewish, was rightly offended by the symbol, which far-left Democrats and their lunatic fringe have been using in an absurd attempt to paint President Trump and his followers as “Nazis.” By doing so, they water down the atrocities carried out by the real Nazis in the lead-up to World War II. We’ve seen the same ridiculous rhetoric about the situation in the Gaza Strip, where leftists accuse Israel of committing a “genocide” and a “holocaust.” Perhaps when the victims reach six million, the number of Jews who were killed in the real holocaust, you can talk to us.
Margolis called the symbol “particularly disgusting, offensive, and antisemitic.” At a public forum, Margolis confronted Hayes about the post, but was met with laughter. So is the self-awareness of the MAGA-hating left. Hayes tried to justify the symbol, saying it was referring to “beating MAGA” and that he was not antisemitic.
A swastika, according to history:

“I noted that if this was a billboard or a banner from a building, everyone driving by would know exactly what it was and that it’s clearly an antisemetic symbol recognized around the world. This is hate speech.”
Aside from his swastika post, Hayes shared a post on X in June 2022 where the writer wrote, “Time to move to New England and open a private Satanist grade school where drag queens exclusively teach Critical Race Theory.”

He appears of sound mind.
Margolis accused Hayes, whose claim to fame is a career as a “Celebrity Wig Artist,” after an insurance career, according to his campaign page, of gaslighting East Granby residents, claiming The Silverman Group was “very interested” in developing a Sound Stage building in the town, a claim which was denied by Silverman, on the record.
"Celebrity Wig Artist"--sounds like a "tough" gig.
Silverman did float plans to build a couple of warehouses in the town, but that drew blowback from town residents. While the town could use additional income for its tax base, residents were concerned about truck traffic, which was already an issue in town, as well as noise, lights, and pollution.
“Hayes is trying to run a confidence game on the residents of East Granby by telling us that sound stages and theatre entertainment venues will save our town,” Margolis said.
Ironically, Hayes is the founder and organizer of “Disarm Hate,” yet his actions suggest he is little interested in doing so. He is a gun control and LGBT activist, according to The Westerly Sun.
Margolis said Hayes is a far-left activist, “far, far left of the DTC” [Democratic Town Committee], which he said “should tell you a lot about their values and plans for our future.” In fact, Margolis said neither Hayes nor his running mate have been endorsed by the East Granby Democratic Town Committee.
But that's not all that came from this far-left activist. When Kyle Reyes, founder of The 1776 Project (which owns the largest police news outlet in the world, including Law Enforcement and Blue Lives Matter), saw what the left was trying to hide... he exposed it - in a big way.
He personally funded a direct mail campaign that went to the homes of everyone in East Granby.... with nothing more than screenshots of Hayes social media posts.

Democrats in the area had a complete meltdown, leaving angry messages and threats for our company.
Reyes, whose holding companies still own properties in East Granby and surrounding communities, laughed at Democrats saying they were "offended" that he'd put the mailers in their homes.
"They're offended by the mailer - but not offended by what this guy actually posted," Reyes said. "It's typical of the left - selective outrage is what happens when the mental disorder of liberalism spreads through your mind - and society - like cancer."
For those parents upset that their children saw the mailer, Reyes encouraged them to teach their children that evil triumphs when good men and women do nothing.
"Your kids are going to be exposed to evil daily. It's happening in Connecticut classrooms, for example - look no further than Granby, CT where the far-left administration has fought to allow graphic porn to stay in the schools and has been hiding it from the parents. But this is where parents need to hold the line. Men need to stand firm, and like men and lead their families. Moms and dads need to talk to their kids about the difference between right and wrong... and teach them how to fight for what's right."
As far as this candidate goes? Well, there is a saying that if it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Likewise, if it looks like a hate symbol, it’s a hate symbol. Hayes can spin it any way he wants, but the last thing a community like East Granby needs is an unhinged radical loony toon running the town.

After reading this, it is quite apparent that it is true that MAGA haters truly are certifiable crazy
