This 2020 video still leaves us in tears. Despite everything happening in Portland, Oregon, a large group of officers took the time to pay a powerful tribute.
The members of the Portland Police Association and the Portland Police Bureau Honor Guard believe it is a privilege and honor to attend the funerals of their brothers and sisters across the nation who have died in the line of duty for their communities.
But with "defunding" cuts, low staffing, and other issues, they were unable to personally attend the funerals of their fallen brothers and sisters around the nation.
And so they offered this tribute so they could still show them honor. This was originally made right after the death of fallen Houston Police Sergeant Sean Rios – a Marine, a proud police officer of 25 years, and a treasured father, husband, and son.
But they want it shared and used to honor every single fallen man and woman in law enforcement who put their lives on the line every day for the love of their communities.
