The violence in this country continues to rise, and much of it is being driven by paid protesters who come into communities to create problems. Those who fund and direct these actions are about to receive an eye-opening reality check given the current administration’s stated commitment to protecting federal agents and restoring public safety.
Attorney General Bondi stated, “At my direction, I am deploying DOJ agents to ICE facilities—and wherever ICE comes under siege—to safeguard federal agents, protect federal property, and immediately arrest all individuals engaged in any federal crime.”
She also indicated that DOJ agents will be sent to ICE facilities to protect federal personnel, and that she is “instructing the Joint Terrorism Task Forces across the country to disrupt and investigate all entities and individuals engaged in acts of domestic terrorism, including the repeated acts of violence and obstruction against federal agents.” The Department of Justice will seek the most serious available charges against all participants in these criminal mobs.
AG Bondi - thank you for supporting law and order. THIS is what leadership looks like. But she also recognizes it's not just the terrorist foot soldiers that are disrupting society - but rather those financing it.
Much of this violence is funded by a few extremely wealthy individuals who pay protesters to do their dirty work while they remain insulated from the consequences — a tactic not unlike gang leaders who use juveniles to carry out crimes. That arrangement, however, is changing. I’m waiting for the day those financial backers of crime and destruction are indicted and spend meaningful time in jail reflecting on their choices.
Federal agents and officers are performing the duties they were hired and sworn to do. I’ve watched videos of ICE agents in the Chicago area attempting to leave their facility while dozens of protesters blocked their path. Every individual who intentionally obstructs the lawful movement of federal employees, impedes emergency vehicles, or endangers personnel should be arrested and prosecuted. These actions are not peaceful protest or First Amendment protected conduct — they are obstruction, endangerment, and in some cases criminal violence.
What is happening at ICE facilities nationwide is a troubling echo of recent violence in Dallas. We must stop this before anyone else is hurt or killed. It will take coordinated law enforcement response, federal prosecutions, and community cooperation to restore safety and order.
