HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL - A woman pleaded for her life on a 911 call, saying "you're f*cking killing me," as her boyfriend allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed her to death.

The alleged suspect, 35-year-old Kyle Sanchez, is accused of first-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Amanda Roark, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO).

The incident happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19 at an apartment on Tuscan Loon Drive in Tampa. A probable cause arrest affidavit reviewed by WFLA said that Roark called 911 when Sanchez was attacking her. Roark was later found dead inside the residence with multiple stab wounds and lacerations.

Part of the 911 call was inaudible and the dispatcher was not able to get any details about the situation or an address to respond to, according to court documents.

Sanchez called 911 around 10 minutes later. He confirmed with the dispatcher that there was an emergency and provided his address. "Um, I murdered my girlfriend," he said when asked what the emergency was. Later in the call, Sanchez told the dispatcher that Roark was "beyond help," and when asked what happened, he said he had "a very unfriendly urge" and grabbed a knife.

Roark was pronounced dead upon the arrival of first responders. When Sanchez opened the door, he was found "covered in blood." Roark was confirmed to have multiple defense wounds on both hands and had a deep laceration to the left side of her neck.

Blood was found throughout the three-story residence, in multiple rooms, and on doors, walls, and furniture. Court documents accuse Sanchez of stabbing his girlfriend to death "unlawfully, intentionally, and with premeditation."

Sanchez was a data analyst at MacDill Air Force Base until May 2026. In his position, he had a top-secret security clearance.
