PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix Police have released the bodycam footage of Gateway Pundit journalist Jordan Conradson’s April 2022 domestic violence arrest, a case which garnered some local media coverage with limited insight into the case specifics. In the obtained footage, a purportedly intoxicated Conradson was physically resisting officers while berating police and later claiming Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs would arrest the officers involved.
According to reports, Phoenix Police responded to the home of Conradson’s girlfriend, Kaelyn Starrs, on April 3rd, 2022, regarding a domestic incident where Conradson allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and damaged property inside the home shared by the victim and her mother.
Bodycam footage shared with Law Enforcement Today from the YouTube account of The Breakdown revealed that at the time of Conradson’s arrest, his mother, Anita Gregolynskyj, had arrived at the home prior to police responding and claimed to have not witnessed any acts of violence. While police were interviewing the victim, Starrs relayed a different version of events, telling police Conradson’s mother was present during the incident and had witnessed the assault and property damage.
“[Conradson’s] mom came - that’s her truck right there. Jordan, my boyfriend, got very upset about it…about me calling his mom on him, because I did that a month ago. Things got very violent inside, he started pushing me around…He was also trying to hold me back from his mom for no reason. His mom is not a violent person at all; she’s a really lovely lady. I don’t know what he was doing, but he ended up breaking a lot of things,” Starrs told police while being interviewed.
During a second interview of the victim with officers at the scene that evening, one of the officers asked Starrs, “Did Jordan’s mom try to not make you report this,” to which the victim responded, “Correct.” When further probed on the aforementioned detail, Starrs explained, “She just wants to take [Conradson] home.”
When police were attempting to take Conradson into custody, orders were given to the suspect to stop resisting, to which Conradson told arresting officers, “Put me on the ground, I dare you! I’m not resisting, I’m very strong. Put me on the ground, I dare you.” Officers took Conradson to the ground while he briefly resisted, according to the bodycam footage, with Conradson asserting his First Amendment rights were being violated by the arresting officers and threatening to sue them before being loaded into the cruiser.
While Conradson was being taken to the 4th Avenue Jail, he repeatedly berated the transport officer, falsely claiming he was a “minor” and accusing the officer of “kidnapping” him. Conradson later said while still seated in the back of the cruiser, “You work for me you f*cking p*ssy,” followed by threats to have him arrested by the state’s Democratic governor.
“Ahhhh, Katie Hobbs is going to put you in f*cking prison,” Conradson stated after bellowing for several minutes amid claims he was being harmed in the back of the cruiser despite being seated alone.
Conradson’s antics continued upon arriving at intake, calling a female officer a “f*cking b*tch” while likening his then-predicament as tantamount to being a “prisoner of war.” While being frisked at intake, Conradson accused another officer of fondling his genitalia followed by repeatedly saying, “You want to see my balls?”
In October 2022, Conradson pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of assault and criminal damage, receiving a five-day suspended sentence and 12 months of probation. However, Conradson’s criminal conviction was adjudicated as “completely dismissed” in June of 2023 after adhering to a carveout in his plea deal that would grant an expulsion of the conviction if he completed a domestic violence diversion program.
