North Carolina Pastor Out on Bond After Arrest for Child Sex Crime

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, NC – A 40-year-old pastor out of North Carolina recently made bond after being charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor after allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl back in 2024.

On August 5th, North Myrtle Beach Police arrested Kyle Lynn Sigmon in connection with a July 2024 incident alleging the pastor inappropriately touched a 13-year-old girl in her private area while within the South Ocean Boulevard area of Myrtle Beach. According to local reports, Sigmon self-surrendered to authorities and wound up posting a $5,000 bond the very same day, allowing the suspected child sex offender to walk free as his case develops.

While records show Sigmon is registered with the United Methodist Church as a pastor, he is apparently not connected with any specific church in the area currently. Online records note that the last church Sigmon was attached to was the Faithbridge United Methodist Church in Blowing Rock, which he apparently left in 2022.

Aside from Sigmon’s work as a pastor, he apparently is an aspiring musician, hosting a variety of Christian-themed songs and music videos on his Apple Music and YouTube pages. However, aside from the standing music pages, the accused child predator has locked down or deleted his remaining social media accounts.

According to Sigmon’s website dedicated to his music career, he describes himself as “a husband, father to 5 children, a pastor, social worker, therapist, award-winning singer/songwriter, recording artist, producer, published author, host of the ‘Still Figuring It Out…’ podcast, and front man for the rock band Seeking Gravity,”

Back in February of 2020, four years before the alleged sexual assault of a minor, North Carolina-based news outlet the Watauga Democrat published a glowing piece about Sigmon, describing his music as showcasing “the love Sigmon has for his wife Elise, his children, God and Jesus.”

No additional information has been shared by authorities regarding Sigmon’s pending case.
