Georgia Man Accused of Groping Three Women at Three Stores in 10 Minutes

AUSTELL, GA - A 35-year-old alleged serial groper is under arrest after authorities say he made sexual contact with three different women in three separate stores in Austell, a city located 17 miles west of Atlanta. The assaults occurred at Panera Bread, Target, and T.J. Maxx along the East-West Connector, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

Cobb County police said Orlandus Sims is accused of groping three women in just 10 minutes, starting shortly after 7:00 p.m. The first victim was sitting on a bench at Panera Bread when Sims grabbed her breast and squeezed it. He then went inside a nearby Target, took a scooter cart, and grabbed another woman’s buttocks.

Sims then left Target and walked to a nearby T.J. Maxx, where he came up behind a woman and grabbed and squeezed her buttocks.

Police were notified, and when officers arrived, Sims attempted to flee. Officers were able to catch up and apprehend him, taking him into custody.

Sims managed to slip out of his handcuffs while en route to be booked but was unable to escape. That led to an additional charge of escape. He is being held without bond in the Cobb County Jail.

The outlet spoke to several shoppers at the plaza where the assaults occurred, all of whom expressed shock over the sequence of events.

“It’s crazy that’s happening here,” said Sinndy Gomez. “It’s scary to think that you feel comfortable coming out to stores out here and to hear people like that are doing stuff to women.”

“He’s a pervert, like ewww,” said another shopper, Brandon Peeples. “I think it’s crazy that women have to worry about stuff like that.”

One shopper said that it is important for people to remain vigilant.

“We don’t need people like that around the area,” said Tiffiney Gibson. “You gotta watch your back anywhere you go in these days, like I said, I’m licensed to carry. I don’t play that.”

Hafiz Rahman suggested Sims needs some kind of psychological help.

“He definitely needs some help and be removed from society and get some help and maybe he can get back into society as a good person.”

Sims was charged with multiple counts of sexual battery in addition to the obstruction charge.

Meanwhile, in a bizarre case out of Germany, The New York Post reports that a robot painted red and gold to resemble Iron Man allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl by grabbing her buttocks and making “thrusting motions against her,” police in Cologne said in a statement.

Police said the robot’s 16-year-old owner and 19-year-old accomplice filmed the assault and live-streamed it on social media.

The victim was with friends outside a fast-food restaurant when she was approached by the four-foot-high robot just before midnight. The victim contacted police, and the robot was found in the trunk of a vehicle shortly thereafter.

Police confiscated the robot and two cellphones belonging to the suspects, police said. It is unknown who was controlling the robot at the time of the assault and police continue to investigate that angle.
