'Resign or we will impeach you': House Homeland Security Committee destroys Mayorkas over 'treasonous invasion'

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The threatened impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas by the Republican-led House of Representatives has taken the dominant position on the House Homeland Security Committee's agenda at the order of Chairman Rep. Mark E. Green (R-TN). At a Wednesday hearing, the panel set to evaluate the extent to which Mayorkas' "failed leadership and refusal to enforce the laws passed by Congress" has impacted the security of the United States.

Just The News reported Monday that the hearing will be the first of three scheduled for January after the committee released the fifth report outlining Mayorkas' policies. The committee found in part that "the causes, costs, and consequences of the crisis at the Southwest border and how the reckless decision-making and legally dubious policies of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and President Joe Biden have precipitated the worst border crisis in American history."

The House Homeland Committee Republicans posted a compilation to X, illustrating the failure of Mayorkas' Department of Homeland Security with the caption, "The @HomelandGOP's nearly year-long investigation into Secretary Mayorkas made one thing clear—he has refused to enforce the laws of Congress and fulfill his oath of office. This Committee will begin impeachment proceedings this Wednesday at 10am to hold Mayorkas accountable."

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene offered a reminder that Mayorkas took offense at the term "invasion" being used to describe the uncontrolled influx of over eight million illegal immigrants into the United States since President Joe Biden took office. She wrote, "Secretary Mayorkas said he is 'offended' by the term 'invasion' that he is purposefully facilitating at our Southern Border. I had only one thing to say in response: RESIGN or we will IMPEACH you. Well, he hasn't resigned. So Wednesday, we start the process of impeachment."

As observed by RNC Research, after the Secretary ended a press conference on the border situation, he tacitly avoided a question regarding his impending impeachment inquiry.

According to The Hill, Mayorkas attempted to defend his record during the presser claiming, “After the ending of Title 42 In May of this year through the end of the fiscal year, DHS removed or returned more noncitizens without a basis to remain in the United States than in any other five-month period in the last 10 years.”

He told reporters that
"the majority of all migrants encountered at the southwest border throughout this administration have been removed, returned or expelled. A majority of them.”

In a statement announcing the hearing Rep. Greene said, “For almost three years, the American people have demanded an end to the unprecedented crisis at the Southwest border, and they have also rightly called for Congress to hold accountable those responsible.”

“That’s why the House Committee on Homeland Security led a comprehensive investigation into the causes, costs, and consequences of this crisis," Green added. "Our investigation made clear that this crisis finds its foundation in Secretary Mayorkas’ decision-making and refusal to enforce the laws passed by Congress, and that his failure to fulfill his oath of office demands accountability. The bipartisan House vote in November to refer articles of impeachment to my Committee only served to highlight the importance of our taking up the impeachment process – which is what we will begin doing next Wednesday.”

Because he knows, as does everyone else, that the current DOJ won't prosecute nor the Senate convict, so all of the Binden criminals have nothing to fear. For now. Hopefully, that all will change come November.

Unfortunately, the impeachment will do nothing to stop the 2 million additional illegal aliens that will invade us between now and next January.

David

He should be prosecuted for treason.
