Police: NY Illegal Alien Tried to Take ICE Officer’s Taser While Shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’

BUFFALO, NY – Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a criminal illegal alien from Turkey earlier in November who reportedly has a history of violent offenses stateside, according to a press release from the agency.

In line with the individual’s alleged history of violence, officials say he attempted to gain control of an officer’s weapon during his arrest while shouting “Allahu Akbar.”

ICE Buffalo officers arrested a man identified as 39-year-old Saim Irgi on November 5th during “a targeted operation in Tonawanda” after ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers observed a vehicle believed to be Irgi’s leaving a residence in the area.

According to officials, ICE officers initiated a vehicle stop and attempted to conduct “a consensual encounter” with the driver of the vehicle, which led to officers determining the driver was indeed Irgi.

When Irgi was asked to step out of the vehicle, authorities allege he “consistently refused and actively resisted when officers attempted to remove him,” leading to officers physically extricating him.

A physical altercation ensued as officers took Irgi to the ground, with officers eventually drawing their tasers and ordering Irgi to stop resisting. However, officials claim the suspect continued struggling with officers, with Irgi allegedly grabbing “onto an officer's taser while screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’.”

Another officer deployed their taser in response to Irgi’s alleged attempt to gain control of the other officer’s weapon, with the suspect later being placed in restraints and transported to the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility.

ICE says Irgi first illegally entered the United States back in July of 2023 and was encountered by Border Patrol agents near Jamul, California, shortly after his illegal entry. Given the former administration’s approach to immigration enforcement, Irgi was released into the country’s interior without any additional vetting following the July 2023 encounter.

In March of this year, the Pennsauken Police Department in New Jersey arrested Irgi for simple assault, but prosecutors later dropped the charges on April 4th. On the same day Irgi’s assault charges were dropped, he was arrested in Philadelphia on charges of simple assault, strangulation and reckless endangerment.

Jon

He should have shot the miscreant to death. Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer during the performance of his or her duties by an Illegal alien rises to the employment of deadly force. Problem solved.

Larry

Amen bro !!!

Jon, you're sick. Law Enforcement is nothing more than racist people in a uniform; many of us do not give a dam about Law Enforcement officers.

John

Hopefully someday you will need help from law enforcement and they won’t give a dam about you moron

I'm totally sick of the Aloha Snack bar idiots running loose. GOD tells us to have nothing to do with that type of people.

How can anyone think turning animals like this free in America is good?! Only a traitor like Obama and Biden would do this! TASE him everyday for breakfast!

Franklin

James, do you ever get tired of being racist?
