FALLS CHURCH, VA - Officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Washington, D.C. arrested an illegal immigrant convicted of possessing child sex abuse material.
The individual, identified as Luis Antonio-Alejandro-Ramos, was arrested on September 7, 2026, according to a press release from ICE. Alejandro-Ramos illegally entered the United States on an unknown date, at an unknown location and without having been inspected or admitted by a U.S. immigration official.
Authorities in Arlington arrested him on February 28, 2025, and charged him with felony possession of child pornography. On September 12, 2025, the Arlington Circuit Court convicted and sentenced him to three years in prison. The court then suspended all three years of his sentence and ordered three years of supervised probation.
On September 7, ICE officers arrested Alejandro-Ramos in Falls Church and entered him into removal proceedings. He will remain in ICE custody pending the outcome of those proceedings.
This arrest showcases Secretary Mullin's commitment to arresting and deporting illegal immigrants who have been convicted of crimes from American communities, the press release confirmed.
"Luis Antonio Alejandro-Ramos has a conviction for possessing child sexual abuse material, which makes him a substantial threat to the children of our Northern Virginia neighborhoods,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Washington, D.C. Field Office Director Robert Guadian.
“We cannot allow such a threat to roam the streets of our communities. Our officers are the best in the world at identifying, arresting, and removing criminal illegal alien threats to the American people."
President Trump and Secretary Mullins have a zero-tolerance policy for illegal immigration. "You will be found and you will be deported. ICE is prioritizing Americans’ safety, with a focus on deporting the worst of the worst, such as sex offenders. These dangerous predators are a threat to our children. Removing them makes our nation stronger and our communities safer," the press release stated.
