FOREST PARK, OH – A 40-year-old illegal alien from Nicaragua was sentenced to nearly twenty years in prison earlier in December in light of pleading guilty to the rape of a special needs woman earlier in 2023. Prior to the individual’s arrest in relation to the rape case, the illegal alien had been deported five times since 2005.
On April 29th, 40-year-old German Mathews, also known as Hernan Mateos, followed a special needs woman who was en route to a bus stop in Forest Park and initially launched a unprovoked attack. According to authorities, Mathews grabbed the victim and threw her over a nearby guardrail into a wooded area.
After the initial attack, Mathews reportedly punched the victim in the face multiple times before proceeding to rape her. A witness to the act called 911, with police arriving shortly thereafter to catch Mathews still actively assaulting the victim.
Despite an effort to flee from authorities, Mathews was taken into custody and booked under numerous charges, including rape. Forest Park Police Sgt. Jackie Dreyer said the physical beating of the victim was so brutal that Mathews' hands were “covered in the victim’s blood” upon his arrest.
Mathews eventually pleaded guilty to rape, felonious assault, and kidnapping this past November and was sentenced on December 20th to a prison term of 19 years to 24.5 years for the aforementioned offenses. However, Mathews’ illegal immigration history dating back to 2005, in tandem with even a prior arrest for sexual battery, serves as another societal ill stemming from weak border/immigration policies.
Originally from Nicaragua, Mathews first illegally entered the United States in June of 2005, being caught by Border Patrol in Laredo, Texas at the time and being given a voluntary removal order, which Mathews adhered to. Yet, mere weeks after being deported in 2005, Mathews was found to have been arrested in Miami, Florida for driving under the influence.
Mathews would find himself arrested several times in Miami between 2006 and 2009, with the offenses either involving alcohol or driving without a license. Come 2012, Mathews would face his then-most serious arrest of false imprisonment and sexual battery. However, prosecutors apparently decided to not pursue the 2012 case against Mathews, but the sexual battery arrest did lead to one of Mathews’ deportations.
Upon completion of Mathews’ prison term, he’s expected to once again go through the deportation process.

Sharing his cell should be Biden and Mayorkas. This is what open borders create. Another citizen lost to leftist ideology. The Liberals I know would blame it on the victim.

He shpould be placed in General Population and what he is in for communicated to other prisoners and let the chip[s fall where they may, After being raped a few dozen times and beaten to within an inch of his life a few times transfer him to another prison and let the same thing happen over and over again and then trade him for an American prisoner being held in Nicaragua and let him see what thier prison system is all about.
