LOS ANGELES, CA – An illegal alien from Guatemala learned his fate in court earlier in May after being sentenced in connection to a November 2025 arrest by federal agents for the production of child sex abuse materials (CSAM) where the victims depicted were reportedly the special-needs niece and nephew of the accused.
Back on November 22nd, 2025, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents operating out of Los Angeles arrested Angel Emilio Rodriguez-Marroquin on charges of producing child pornography and possession of child pornography.
According to a press release from Homeland Security, the victims in Rodriguez-Marroquin’s case were identified as “his own 8-year-old nephew and 8-year-old niece with special needs,” with Rodriguez-Marroquin eventually pleading guilty to both of the aforementioned charges.
During Rodriguez-Marroquin’s sentencing on May 18th, he was reportedly handed down a 50-year prison sentence. Authorities say the Guatemalan illegal alien entered the United States without inspection back in 2024 before being released into the country’s interior during the Biden administration.
HSI Los Angeles Special Agent in Charge Eddy Wang issued a statement following Rodriguez-Marroquin’s sentencing, emphasizing the agency’s “unwavering commitment” to apprehending those accused of crimes against “the most vulnerable members of our community.”
“This case demonstrates the dedication of HSI and our law enforcement partners to ensuring that perpetrators of child sexual abuse are held fully accountable for their crimes. We will continue to pursue justice for victims and work tirelessly to prevent these offenses, both here and abroad,” SAC Wang concluded.
Homeland Security Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis also issued a statement on the matter, highlighting the “depraved” nature of the offenses committed by Rodriguez-Marroquin against his own family, likening the illegal alien to a “monster” who should’ve never been in the United States to begin with.
“This monster would not have been in our country in the first place if it weren’t for the Biden Administration’s disastrous open borders that released him into our country. Thanks to our ICE law enforcement officers, this creep is behind bars, and after he serves his time, he will be removed from our country,” Assistant Secretary Bis stated.
