Colorado Illegal Alien With Record of Child Crimes Tried to Run Down ICE Agent, Cops Say

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – An illegal alien who has prior child abuse and domestic violence convictions is on the run after authorities say the suspect attempted to run over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in late July during an operation taking place in Colorado Springs, as reported by Fox News.

On July 31st, ICE agents were conducting an operation in the Colorado Springs area when they encountered 31-year-old Jose Mendez-Chavez, an illegal alien from Mexico who has been previously deported from the country six times and also harbors numerous arrests and convictions related to various violent offenses.

During the interaction with Mendez-Chavez and the passenger in his vehicle, identified as Francisco Zapata-Pacheco, officials say the criminal alien attempted to run over the ICE agents present during the interaction.

A statement from an ICE spokesperson noted that agents on scene at the time of the incident opened fire on Mendez-Chavez, who reportedly sped away from the scene and has since eluded capture. However, the passenger, Zapata-Pacheco, was later located and taken into custody. Officials say no one was injured during the incident.

Another point of contention mentioned by the agency spokesperson related to the presence of the Colorado Rapid Response Network (CRRN) at the scene of the incident, a state-based group notorious for disrupting immigration enforcement operations throughout Colorado.

“It is despicable that Colorado Rapid Response network would show up in defense of an alien who has abused children and attempted to injure our officers,” the agency spokesperson noted, adding, “Our brave ICE law enforcement officers are facing an 830% increase in assaults against them as they carry out operations due to the misinformation activist groups spread.”

CRRN was established back in June of 2017 following President Trump’s initial inauguration into the White House, with the group explicitly detailing in their “About Us” section of their website that they aim to prevent “rampant deportations” and offer a dedicated hotline for people to call in so that the group can dispatch anti-ICE agitators at the scene of immigration enforcement operations to potentially obstruct agents from fulfilling their duties.

The aforementioned illegal alien advocacy group feigns as though they’re fighting for the rights of immigrants unfairly targeted, a point the ICE agency spokesperson emphasized in their statement when noting, “Mendez was not an ‘innocent victim’; he is an abuser who plays the system and is now wanted for assault on a federal officer.”

I say it's past time to start letting these people know that if you interfere with any law enforcement doing their job, you're gonna get hurt. And I'm not talking wallet wise.
