NEW YORK, NY - Nineteen-year-old Darwin Andrés Gómez-Izquiel, an illegal immigrant living in New York City and implicated in the mob assault on two NYPD officers in early February was once again arrested on Tuesday, just days after his release. He is charged with robbery and petit larceny according to authorities after participating in a coordinated robbery attempt at a Queens Macy's.
The robbery, reported by The New York Post, took place at the Queens Center Mall around 5:30 pm on Tuesday with Gomez-Izquiel allegedly “acting in concert” with three others to steal clothing from the department store. The four were confronted by a security guard leading to a struggle and one of the assailants assaulted the guard.
Gomez-Izquiel is already facing charges of second-degree assault on a police officer and obstructing governmental administration during the horrific mob assault on two NYPD officers reported previously by Law Enforcement Today. The remaining three suspects fled from the scene with a little over $600 worth of Macy's merchandise.
One of the suspects, Ulises Bohorquez, 21, was reportedly arrested at a city tent shelter on Randall’s Island early on Wednesday.

This time he was part of a group that robbed a department store in Queens. They also assaulted an employee. Different borough, different crime — same disregard for the law. This is the last thing NYers need."
