Far-Left Activist Who Branded Republicans “Pedophiles” Charged With Child Sex Crimes

BREMERTON, WA- What’s the saying about “people who live in glass houses?” What about Matthew 7:3-5, where Jesus says, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”

The verse continues, “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

Such is the lesson for a far-left activist and former part-time “educator” who is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after he spent months stalking someone he believed was an 11-year-old girl and then traveled to Bremerton, Washington, to meet her, the Post Millennial reports.

Houston Curry Wade, 44, the former part-time faculty member who taught physics and astronomy at Edmonds College, has been charged with Attempted Child Molestation in the first degree and Communication With a Minor for Immoral Purposes.

What makes this arrest even more amusing is the fact that Wade is a well-known activist who regularly accuses Republicans and Trump supporters of being “pedophiles,” according to the Lynnwood Times.

Court documents obtained by a Talk Radio 570 KVI host last November indicate that an NCIS special agent contacted the Bremerton Police Department about an undercover operation involving online chats with someone who wanted to meet the undercover agent’s online persona, described as an 11-year-old sixth-grade girl.

The initial contact took place on Aug 29, 2025, on an app called “Hush,” where the user, alleged to be Wade, used the screen name “Authority Figure” and referenced teaching, the Post Millennial said.

The conversation was later moved to Kik, where the user provided a handle and continued communicating with the “11-year-old” for nearly four months.

The narrative took the form of what investigators called “grooming,” including compliments about the “child’s” appearance, with the messages becoming increasingly sexual in nature.

A meeting was scheduled for early December, but was rescheduled for Dec. 17 at East Park in Bremerton, in the area of the skate park during the 5-6 pm hour.

Police conducted surveillance on Wade as he left his residence around 3:100 pm, and stopped at a hotel in Silverdale, where he entered carrying a backpack and was seen leaving without it, the Post Millennial reported.

After Wade was detained, officers found he had two room keys for a hotel room, and investigators obtained a search warrant for the hotel room.

The police report said that the hotel room contained numerous sexually-oriented items consistent with sexual acts discussed in the messages, including condoms, lubricants, sex toys, and bondage items. After he left the hotel, Wade drove to the skate park, arriving around 5:25 pm.

He was directed by the undercover officer posing as the child via text to meet him near where the officer was parked. Officers arrested him “without incident,” the report read.

In the probable cause statement, Wade initially waived his Miranda rights, but then “feigned ignorance,” claiming he was lost while trying to find a restaurant that, unfortunately for Wade, had closed in 2024.

The report said that surveillance showed that Wade drove directly to the area after leaving the hotel and waited.

After some more questioning, Wade then decided he probably should get an attorney, police wrote.

Wade is currently being held at the Kitsap County Jail on a $750,000 bond. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
