LOS ANGELES, CA - Despite California declaring itself a “sanctuary state” and Los Angeles claiming to be a “sanctuary city,” when push comes to shove, neither entity appears willing to back up the hyperbole with action, at least when it comes to housing the influx of illegal aliens entering the United States courtesy of the Biden administration.
OANN reports the Los Angeles city council will file a lawsuit and a criminal investigation against Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) because he decided to take the city’s sanctuary claims to heart. Since June, Abbott has dispatched 11 “migrant” buses to Los Angeles, each carrying approximately 42 illegals immigrants.
Last week, the city council unanimously directed the Los Angeles city attorney to investigate if Abbott committed any crimes by shipping illegal aliens to the city and determine if a lawsuit is warranted.
Since June 14, approximately 435 illegals have arrived in the City of Angels. In total, Republican governors, taking Democrats at their word, have sent over 30,000 illegal aliens to Democrat-run cities across the U.S. Aside from Los Angeles, Democrat-led cities such as New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., have received busloads of illegals.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) appears very upset with the recent events, complaining the city has received little communication from Texas officials.
“We hear about the buses headed our way when they’re on the way. We have no idea who’s going to be on the bus, how many people it is, or what condition they’re going to be in when they get here,” Bass complained last Wednesday. “Sometimes they haven’t had any food, barely had enough water.”
Border states such as Texas and Arizona have borne the brunt of Biden’s open border policies. According to NBC News, border crossings topped 2.76 million for FY-2022. That does not include so-called “got-aways,” who are unaccounted for.
In addition to Abbott, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has shipped illegal migrants to other states. Last year, DeSantis sent two planeloads to the tiny enclave of Martha’s Vineyard, the playground of the rich, such as former President Barack Obama. While claiming to be a “sanctuary” for illegal aliens, Martha’s Vineyard quickly shipped the illegals off the island to a military installation on Cape Cod.
DeSantis’s action set off Democrats, who called for a criminal investigation of Florida’s governor for “human trafficking.” DeSantis countered those calls by saying the illegals signed consent forms to be sent to the Massachusetts island.
DeSantis said the Florida state legislature directed $12 million in the state’s budget “to facilitate the transport of unauthorized aliens out of Florida.”
“We’re going to spend every dime of that,” DeSantis said at a press conference. According to state records, the state of Florida paid a private contractor, Vertol Systems, Inc., $615,000 to transport the illegal migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, a sum of $12,300 per migrant.
Calls for an investigation of DeSantis, a candidate for the Republican nomination of president, have gone nowhere.
Both governors say they are trying to “share the load” of illegal border crossers and believe sanctuary cities and states are a natural place to send them.

Isn't California a sanctuary state? Then why is the LA mayor upset? Willing to do the virtue signaling but when the responsibility becomes real...ha! Who's surprised at these liberal cities all up in arms over the illegals they said they want to protect?
