Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he was unable to identify the deceased suspect or provide his age, but confirmed the injured officer is an eight-year veteran officer aged 34 and was in serious condition undergoing surgery as of Wednesday.
In a press release the MPD explained that “Upon arrival, the officers encountered the armed suspect and gave him orders to drop the gun. The suspect refused and fired shots at the officers. An officer returned gunfire subsequently striking the suspect. A different officer was struck by the suspect’s gunfire during the exchange. The suspect’s semi-auto rifle was recovered.”
The officer who returned fire at the suspect, striking and killing him is a 37-year-old veteran officer with eight years on the police force and has reportedly been placed on administrative duty as a routine measure for an officer-involved shooting.
The Oak Creek Police Department will lead the investigation with the Milwaukee Area Investigative Team and the department stressed that the investigation is ongoing.

Thursday reporting from Andy Ngo of The Post Millennial identified the shooter as Isaiah Walter Stott, 24, noting “The incident has not been reported widely, and local media censored the gunman's face.”
Ngo reported, “Right up until the time of the shooting, Stott used Facebook to post videos, including one where he urged his followers to ‘stay woke.’ He also ranted about the importance of accepting LGBTQ+ people and standing against Trump.”
Did you know about the anti-Trump gunman who tried a mass sh—ting in Milwaukee on Feb. 12? Of course not!

There's a reason the MSM didn't cover this extensively. Up until the shooting, Isaiah Stott urged his followers to "stay woke" & he also ranted in support of trans issues. pic.twitter.com/H1577I4Jbo
Posting to X, he shared a video of the gunman stating that Stott was attempting to enact a mass shooting, adding, “There's a reason the MSM didn't cover this extensively. Up until the shooting, Isaiah Stott urged his followers to "stay woke" & he also ranted in support of trans issues.”
Told you all this exclusively yesterday. 27th/Wisconsin gunman in the officer’s shooting was Isaiah Stott. Just confirmed by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office. pic.twitter.com/apb6ZJiu1U

First I've heard of this and also first I've heard of a city using "shot spotters".
