While the Biden administration obsesses on pronouns, “climate change,” and harassing school parents, Mexican drug cartels are infiltrating the country through Biden’s porous southern border. In fact, some might argue that the cartels are overrunning the country in some quarters.
The number of illegals who have crossed the southern border varies, but conservative estimates have it somewhere between five and seven million. An unknown number of “gotaways” also avoided detection by Customs and Border Protection officers.
A border that was at least controlled under the Trump administration has now been overrun with no end in sight. And some of the primary beneficiaries of the present administration’s incompetence have been the cartels.
Natural News reports that at least one cartel controls a 170-acre island smack dab in the middle of the Rio Grande River, which features sniper nests and is likely booby-trapped, according to sources.
Our Border Patrol agents are doing their best; however, for the most part, they have been overwhelmed as wave after wave of illegals cross into the country, an overwhelming majority of them military-aged males.
The island in question is located about 250 miles south of San Antonio, Texas, and is believed to be under complete control of a Mexican cartel. The island, known as Fronton Island, is home to the Gulf Cartel and Cartel del Noreste (CDN), both extremely violent gangs.
While typically cartels battle against each other, that is not the case with the two on Fronton Island. Instead, they use the island as a refuge to flee from either the Mexican military or American law enforcement.
This area has thus become a central drug trafficking corridor, where the cartels use the thick vegetation and underbrush to hide their drugs as they make their way north into the rest of the United States. Once done, they return to the island, flush with cash and weapons to add to their reserves, Natural News wrote.
As mentioned, these gangs are extremely violent, and it doesn’t matter if it is law enforcement or civilians; they place no value on human life. They will destroy anyone or anything that gets in the way of their operations.
Cartel operations in the area of the U.S.-Mexico border are nothing new…it has been going on for decades. In fact, in 2019, four shooters from a Mexican cartel with fully automatic weapons fired over 50 rounds at a U.S. Border Patrol boat from the Mexican side of the Rio Grande.
Still, the cartels have grown bolder as the Biden administration has signaled that the border is open, which has caused a free-for-all there.
Just this past August, trail cameras near the border showed images of three suspected cartel members carrying rifles while dressed in body armor crossing into Fronton Island from Mexico. This occurred only months after five alleged Cartel del Noreste members, similarly outfitted in body armor and other tactical gear, were arrested in the same area.
“It’s an island of death,” said Jaeson Jones, a retired Texas Department of Public Safety’s intelligence division captain. He spent years fighting against drug cartels near the border and knows Fronton Island intimately.
“It’s dangerous, man,” he said, noting that cartels have expanded their business enterprises to include the ever-growing human trafficking business.
“The federal government is not able to cover all these areas and provide for the safety and security of landowners,” said Victor Escalon, Texas Department of Public Safety Regional Director.
“You have people out here saying, ‘Hey man, I’m out feeding my cows, and I see three men coming across with backpacks, and they’re armed. Why do I have to live like that?”
Mexican cartels may not be Americans’ only concern. Breitbart News reported that the Department of Homeland Security has failed to deport over 99 percent of illegal aliens that have arrived in the country, according to a report compiled by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Immigration Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock (R-Calif.).
Among those who have come across the porous border are 150 illegal aliens listed on the federal government’s Terror Watch List. However, it is unknown how many more are “gotaways” not encountered by Customs and Border Protection officers. After the terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas terrorists against Israel earlier this month, the possibility that Hamas (or Hezbollah or ISIS) terrorists have crossed into the United States undetected is very real.
Many who have crossed the border have not been “families” as identified by the Biden administration but military-aged men who crossed the border alone without family.
Law Enforcement Today also recently reported on the significant number of military-aged Chinese men illegally entering the country. Why? Nobody seems to know, but it is something that bears watching.
Cartels…people on the Terror Watch List…military-aged Chinese men. Is the United States being set up for a fall?
