BLACK ROCK CITY, NV – As authorities in Nevada continue to investigate the death of 37-year-old Russian national Vadim Kruglov, a witness associated with the investigation recalled the unsettling moments when she was alerted to Kruglov bleeding out at the Burning Man festival.
As previously reported by Law Enforcement Today, Kruglov’s body was discovered by authorities on the evening of August 30th at the Burning Man festival in Black Rock City.
Few details regarding the incident are known by authorities, outside of the victim being found “lying in a pool of blood” and his time of death being some time around 8:30 p.m. on the evening his body was discovered.
The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office currently has no suspects in custody, nor has the agency publicly announced any potential suspects or persons of interest wanted in the investigation.
Igor Kruglov, the victim’s father, has since issued a statement regarding his son’s passing, saying, “I’m proud of my son, now known worldwide,” while also hoping his son’s murderer is apprehended and justice is served.
In an update regarding the mysterious circumstances in Kruglov’s death, an anonymous woman reportedly shared her story with The Hollywood Reporter regarding how she was alerted to a man “bleeding out” in someone’s tent at the Burning Man festival.
“We left, and on our way out, a woman flagged us down, and we opened the window, and she was very calm,” the anonymous woman told the outlet, adding, “and said to us that someone in her tent was bleeding out and might be dead.”
The woman said upon discovering Kruglov’s body, the group immediately called a Black Rock Ranger who was working the festival to the scene, who in turn contacted the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office.
With no ostensible leads or motive in the case, the Pershing County Sheriff's Office issued a statement to the public reading, “We are also currently seeking information regarding any suspect identifiers for any person who would commit such a heinous crime against another human being.”
A GoFundMe has been established for the family of Kruglov in an effort to raise funds so his remains can be transported to his homeland in Omsk, Russia, “so that his parents can say their last goodbye and lay him to rest with his loved ones.”
