NEW YORK, NY- A crazed woman entered a New York City restaurant Saturday night and attacked a diner with a glass bottle, then attacked four others in a brazen, random attack, The New York Post reports.
One of the victims spoke to The Post on the condition of anonymity and said, “As she passed people, she just randomly hit them. She didn’t have any facial expression, like, ‘I’m angry’ or whatever. She just had a stone face,” the victim said.
The unhinged woman, Hilda Grullon, 44, went into the Burrito Bar & Kitchen in Brooklyn at around 3:28 p.m. on January 31 and slammed a 63-year-old man with a glass bottle, according to the NYPD.
The crazed lunatic then left that restaurant and randomly attacked four other people, including a 52-year-old man and two women, 20 and 53, whom she struck in the face.
One of the female victims spoke to The Post and said she was walking down the street with her cousin when she noticed Grullon.
She said while Grullon initially appeared “normal,” she soon noticed that something wasn’t quite right.
“She looks well put together. She doesn’t look homeless; she doesn’t look dirty. Except for the blood streaming down one side of her face,” she said.
Soon after she noticed the woman, she swung at her, striking her in the face.
“After she hit me, she just kept walking. By the time we turned around, she totally disappeared,” the victim said.
When she was able to gather herself, the victim saw Grullon punch an elderly man before NYPD police officers from a nearby precinct arrested her.
A man who was walking ahead of the victim with his wife and two children was also attacked, with Grullon striking him in the head. He called police.
Grullon isn’t a first-time offender, according to law enforcement sources. She has had seven prior convictions, including assaults. The victim who spoke to The Post was clearly shaken by the attack.
“As I passed her, she just hit me because I was on the outside. If my cousin was on the outside, she probably would have hit her,” the woman said. “It was a random attack. That’s how you should report it; a random attack.”
