ALBANY, NY- Only in a blue state.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt revealed the absurdity of sanctuary states, in this case New York, revealing that among 125 illegal aliens rounded up in Oklahoma involving semi-trucks, one man’s commercial driver’s license had “No Name Given” in place of his first and middle names. No, this is not an article from the Babylon Bee.
The New York Post reports the illegal alien presented a New York State-issued CDL to authorities when he was stopped, according to Stitt.
“If New York wants to hand out CDLs to illegal immigrants with ‘No Name Given,’ that’s on them. The moment they cross into Oklahoma, they answer to our laws,” Stitt wrote in a social media post, posting a picture of the license.
The Post reached out to the New York Department of Motor Vehicles to confirm the authenticity of the license, issued April 14, 2025, and set to expire May 26, 2028. It was real.
“This commercial driver’s license was issued in accordance with all proper procedures, including verification of the individual’s identity through federally issued documentation,” DMV spokesman Walter McLure said in a statement.
McLure said the man in question had “lawful status” to be in the United States “through a federal employment authorization and was issued a license consistent with federal guidelines.”
The Post said the spokesman didn’t specify which program and what “federal issued documentation” was provided to the DMV to verify the illegal’s identity.
“It is not uncommon for individuals from other countries to have only one name,” the statement added.
Yes…”No Name Given” sounds legit. The Post reported that it is unknown how many similar licenses have been issued.
The Post asked McLure how you knew to whom they were referring, to which he said, “We know who this person is based solely on the information in the picture of the tweet.”
He declined to say if the New York DMV is cooperating with Oklahoma’s investigation.
“During the operation, OHP (Oklahoma Highway Patrol) encountered numerous commercial truck drivers operating with licenses issued by sanctuary states, including one license listing ‘No Game Given,’” Stitt’s office said in a statement, adding that 125 illegal aliens were arrested in the takedown.
“These individuals posed a public safety risk by operating 80,000-pound commercial vehicles without proper verification,” the statement said.
The Post reached out to Stitt’s office, however, no response was received. It is unclear if “No Name Given” was in custody or facing any charges.
Rep. Elise Stefanik, a New York Republican who plans on running against Gov. Kathy Hochul next year, slammed Hochul over the revelation.
“At every opportunity, Kathy Hochul has turned her back on New Yorkers to bend the knee to the radical Far Left of the Democrat Party that puts illegals and criminals first and hardworking law-abiding New Yorkers last,” Stefanik said in a statement.
Earlier this year, the Trump Department of Justice sued Hochul over New York’s “green light law,” which allows non-citizens to obtain driver’s licenses. The government argued the law is a “frontal assault” on federal immigration enforcement, and the case is currently tied up in court.
According to the New York DMV’s website, individuals are not permitted to get a CDL under the green light law.
The Post reached out to Hochul’s office, which declined comment and referred the outlet to the DMV’s statement.
Hochul, doing her best impression of a chameleon, at one time opposed giving driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, but now has changed her tune.
“I led the fight against giving illegal immigrants drivers licenses,” she said in a campaign ad when she was running for Congress.
