I’ve got a couple of different schools of friends in the law enforcement space.
One of them includes dudes who are JACKED. I trained with them – at the range and at the gym. These boys are hard-chargers.
Then there’s the group of guys who I smoke meats and drink bourbon with. Many of these guys look like Middle-aged Ninja Turtles.
They’re all cops – yet they are vastly different. How they handle stress. How they take care of their bodies. Their strength. Their sex lives. Their spiritual and mental well-being.
Love them all – but they’ve all chosen to deal with the demands of the job in very different ways.
In a crusade to be more like my boys who are YOKED, I asked a couple of the guys what the secret was. After all, I lift heavy, sprint fast and eat decent.
That’s when one of the guys told me about Maximus Tribe.
Now let’s be very clear – this company didn’t pay me a penny for this article and quite frankly, probably wouldn’t be thrilled with the title of it. But I’m writing it because what I discovered is something that I think can literally change cops lives.
My buddy recommended I try out the blood flow protocol to get a killer pump, speed up recovery, crank out more reps and have a sharper mental focus.
I thought he was messing with me. When I looked at the product and saw the ingredients, I noticed it was something you’d see in what dudes use when they’re having… *coughs* … below the belt challenges.
I know I just turned 40, but thank God I’m still going… *clears throat*… hard… in that department. I’ve got four little kids and clearly can’t pull this Suburban out of the golf cart garage, if you know what I’m sayin’.
What I didn’t realize is that taken in smaller and regular doses, the product gives you the kind of INSANE pumps that we all hope for when we dump gobs of money into pre-workout supps.
I figured what the heck… I’ve got nothing to lose but basically what I’d spend on some powders anyway.
The whole process was easy and simple. I also had my bloodwork done at home (I’ll tell you more about that another time). The whole thing is done under the remote supervision of one of their doctors.
A few days later, it arrived in the mail. I was pretty excited to try it out – especially when I saw the research:
The blood flow protocol:
Guys. The stuff was INSANE. Let me break this down simply.
Imagine the kind of veiny pump that made you feel like your arms were going to explode. You know the one I’m talking about… the one you had that ONE DAY in your life where you felt like the Hulk because you just happened to do like a million reps.
Now imagine that every time you lift.
Combine that with the cognitive function aspect… I feel like I’m 20 again when regularly using this product.
Now think about the issues so many guys in law enforcement have – lousy sleep schedules, low testosterone, struggles at the gym, a hard time staying focused.
I’m not going to say this is a “magic bullet." But… damn. If more guys started focusing on their health and supplementing with a company like Maximus through a doctor… we’d make massive strides in fixing some of the mental health problems that our warriors are dealing with.
I’ll tell you more about my experience with some of their other products in the weeks to come. But I’d highly recommend you check it out.
Oh, and to answer your question: yes, I did experience one minor side effect. I’ll let you use your imagination… but let’s just say that as much as it might be a side benefit to you… your partner may be a little tired the next day. And I’m not talking about the partner on the job.

The blood flow protocol:
- Significantly enhances the feeling of a muscle pump as well as supports muscle growth and recovery by doubling muscle protein synthesis (an effect on par with 100-200 mg of injectable testosterone), enhanced insulin secretion, estradiol reduction, and improvement of endothelial function.
- By increasing blood flow through your body, you increase flow of nourishing nutrients and oxygen to the brain. A randomized controlled trial showed marked improvements in mental processing speed, attention, and short-term memory in adults.
- Reduces muscular fatigue while lifting weights. A randomized-controlled trial showed that a low-dose PDE5 inhibitor significantly increased the number of repetitions completed–allowing you to lift harder, longer.
