Oregon: Rioters Swarm ICE Agents at Gas Station, Jump On Cars, Assault Officers, Get Pepper Sprayed

SALEM, OR - Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were targeted by anti-ICE rioters in Salem, Oregon, on Friday, October 9, leading to physical clashes between agents and rioters and attempts by agitators to turn the crowd even more hostile toward the agents, the New York Post reported.

The confrontation reportedly happened near a Salem gas station, where the agents appeared to be stopping to refuel.

One of the rioters lay prone on one of the agents’ vehicles in an effort to keep the agents from leaving while other rioters and agitators began closing in. When an agent tried to pry the rioter off the vehicle, the rioter took a swing at one of the agents, and a brief scuffle followed.

Another agent nearby pulled out a chemical irritant and sprayed the rioter, ending the scuffle.

Additional footage from the scene shared by The Post Millennial’s Katie Daviscourt showed another agitator harassing one of the agents who was standing by a vehicle while refueling.

During the interaction, the agitator repeatedly alerted those nearby that he was speaking with immigration authorities, seemingly in an effort to turn the growing crowd against the agents. Other anti-ICE rioters were also seen trying to box in the agents’ vehicles and prevent them from leaving.

It is unclear whether local police intervened or made any arrests. The original footage shared by Daviscourt was reportedly hosted on a website called stopice.net, which touts itself as a service that can send alerts to users’ phones about where ICE operations are happening in real time.

Alerts on the website routinely publish not only the whereabouts of suspected ICE activity but also identifying information, such as vehicle descriptions and even license plates of spotted vehicles. Domain records show the website was registered in January 2025 and that its owner is using a privacy service to shield their identity.
