BEDFORD, NH - During the early morning hours on Saturday, January 4th, a police officer with the Bedford Police Department (BPD) was shot after a scuffle with a suspect who was later arrested.

According to WMUR, BPD said that just before 1:00 a.m., police responded to the Country Inn & Suites on South River Road for a report of a suspicious man. Upon arriving on scene, officers began to investigate when the suspect, 40-year-old Jared Masseur was seen and the ran away.
