Watch: Police stunt in Russia goes horribly wrong, officer injured in spectacular mishap

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - In a dramatic and shocking incident, a police car stunt intended to showcase professional skills took a perilous turn when a Ford Focus fell on top of an officer named Alexei. The event, held at a training center in the Moscow Region, was meant to demonstrate the advanced driving abilities of officers.

The stunt involved the Ford Focus maneuvering on two wheels through a group of helmeted officers lying in a plank position on the ground. The car aimed to pass safely over them, but it failed to maintain sufficient speed and toppled over, landing directly on Alexei, aged 48.

Video footage captured the terrifying moment when the car's wheel struck Alexei's helmet, trapping him underneath as horrified onlookers screamed in alarm. The impact dragged him across the parking area before fellow officers rushed to his aid, managing to free him from beneath the vehicle.

Alexei sustained serious injuries including a broken leg, a dislocated finger, and wounds to his back. Fortunately, medical responders acted swiftly, transporting him to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. Despite the severity of his injuries, his life was not in immediate danger.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia acknowledged the accident, attributing it to a mishap during the professional skills demonstration. They confirmed that Alexei, though injured, was stable and under medical care.

The incident has prompted questions about safety protocols during such demonstrations, though there has been no official statement regarding potential disciplinary actions against the driver involved.

The community reaction to the incident has been one of shock and concern, highlighting the risks associated with such high-stakes demonstrations. As Alexei continues his recovery, authorities are likely to review safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
