So much for "sanctuary"? Liberal state, overrun by illegal immigrants, send officials to border to tell illegals to go elsewhere

BOSTON, MA - In today’s version of “be careful what you ask for,” Massachusetts’  intersectional ultra-diverse governor Maura Healey is dispatching state officials to the southern border to discourage illegal aliens from traveling up to her sanctuary state, WCVB reports

Healey, the first female lesbian (need to be specific) governor in Massachusetts history, is circumventing the “proud” history of Massachusetts as being one of the first sanctuary states after realizing that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is running out of room to house the illegals Joe Biden’s lax border policies have allowed to enter the United States.

Massachusetts Emergency Assistance Director Scott Rice said the officials will tell “families,” “Our shelters are full.”

Healey is hoping state personnel connect with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Joint Task Force North, non-governmental agencies and “families” and let them know the “welcome” mat is no longer out in the cradle of liberty.

“This trip is an opportunity to meet with families arriving in the U.S. and the organizations that work with them at the border to make sure they have accurate information about the lack of shelter space in Massachusetts,” said Rice.

Rice, whose intersectional status is unknown, did not mention whether that information would be likewise disseminated to military-aged males who invaded the U.S. at the southern border, who appear to be a majority of those who have illegally entered the U.S.

Despite the fact that the commonwealth’s shelter system is full, illegal aliens continue to stream into the Bay State, Boston in particular.

“It is essential that we get the word out that our shelters are full so that families can plan accordingly to make sure they have a safe place to go,” Rice said.

Massachusetts officials will be going to the San Antonio Airport, Centro de Bienvenida/San Antonio Migrant Resource Center and Shelter, the Ursula Processing Facility in McAllen, Texas, Hidalgo Port of Entry, and the Brownsville Migrant Welcome Center.

“San Antonio, McAllen, Hidalgo and Brownsville are the most common points of entry for families that later arrive in Massachusetts,” Healey’s administration said.

Among those getting a free trip to Texas include Rice, his deputy director, the Executive Director of the Mass Office of Refugees and Immigrants, and the strategy manager at the Division of Housing Stabilization. Bet you didn’t realize Massachusetts had all those agencies dedicated to managing Biden’s border invasion.

The Massachusetts legislature recently approved a nine-month limit on how long families can stay in emergency shelters, a move made in response to capacity issues. The Healey administration said some families may be forced out of shelters as early as Sept. 29. Anyone staying in the so-called “safety-net” sites must participate in state-provided services, including submitting work authorization applications or enrolling in English classes within 30 days.

The governor’s office said it has helped 3,785 illegals apply for work authorizations and 1,120 have enrolled in English classes since November.

“The number of families leaving the EA system has steadily increased each month, with more than 331 families leaving in May–the highest number in years,” Healey’s administration reported.

Republican State Sen. Peter Durant offered a simple solution to the problem–change the state’s shelter law.

“Until you stop benefits, until you stop all of the easy flowing dollars and rooms and food, people are going to continue to come,” Durant said.

In May, a 26-year-old illegal from Haiti was arrested and charged with raping a 15-year-old disabled girl at a state-run shelter in the seaside community of Rockland, Massachusetts.
