The newest episode of “Sheepdog and Shepherd” takes viewers into the fields and swamps of Florida for one of the most remarkable conversations the series has ever featured. Hosts Greg and Kyle meet with Clear-Armor founder Dave Trudeau, whose ballistic glass company has already saved countless lives. What began as a product demonstration quickly turned into a testimony about calling, sacrifice, and the responsibility to protect families, schools, and communities.

The episode opens at Brawler Creek Ranch, a ministry hub run by Project Savior Outdoors. It is a place where veterans and first responders find healing through outdoor hunts and fellowship.

Trudeau explains how he invented one-way ballistic glass that allows someone inside a building to return fire while preventing any round from entering. On a thin piece of glass, he said his laminate can stop a 9-millimeter, .40-caliber, and .45-caliber round at point-blank range. Larger barriers can stop an AK-47, a .308, or even a .50 caliber fired from 25 feet away.

The episode focuses heavily on school safety, a subject Trudeau speaks about with deep emotion. He recalls meeting families who lost children in school shootings and the devastation that follows.

“You destroyed a community,” he said. Too many schools believe tragedy “will never happen here,” or claim they lack the budget for real protection. He challenges leaders to act with urgency. “You don’t deserve to have your job if you’re not doing it as if your kids were in that room.”

Trudeau and his team also train schools for free. Their senior medical trainer, a former Navy SEAL medic, teaches everything from situational awareness to tactical first aid. Trudeau stresses that simple tools can save lives, such as placing small fire extinguishers in every classroom.

When used correctly, he said, “A two-pound fire extinguisher will fill up a 60-foot hallway” and disrupt an attacker long enough for students to get to safety. He also described basic changes that schools often overlook, such as removing external door handles to prevent intruders from grabbing and pulling.

The hosts highlight how Clear-Armor’s products have already stopped real break-ins, including one attempt to steal a half-million-dollar car. In that case, thieves hammered at a single-pane door, damaging their tools but never penetrating the laminate. Even after knocking out an adjacent window, they failed to force their way inside before fleeing.

The episode also discusses Trudeau’s personal calling. He speaks openly about his learning struggles as a child, the people who doubted him, and the faith that carried him through adversity. “We need to quit being pleasers of other people and be pleasers of our Heavenly Father,” he said. His mission is clear: build products that save lives, train communities to protect themselves, and serve without expecting anything in return.

Faith remains the foundation of Trudeau’s work. He describes falling to his knees in prayer when his son endured a life-threatening medical emergency that required extensive surgery. It shaped how he sees God’s timing and purpose. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for that,” he said.

The episode closes with the hosts reflecting on the impact of Trudeau’s invention. They note how many potential attackers likely walk away from fortified buildings without anyone ever knowing the tragedy that was prevented. They also praise Trudeau for living out Christlike service in both his business and personal life.

For viewers who want to learn more or protect their own homes, churches, or schools, Trudeau points them to Clear-Armor.com. The episode is a reminder of what happens when innovation and calling meet a real-world need.
