In the latest episode of “Sheepdog and Shepherd,” the hosts dive into one of the most explosive conversations yet, featuring Sen. Mark Finchem (R-Ariz.) and retired Assistant Police Chief Shawn Taylor. Together, they reveal a sweeping criminal network that ties together drug trafficking, money laundering, and political corruption.

Finchem, a former Arizona lawmaker and executive director of the Election Fairness Institute, outlines what he calls an “evil” operating across every branch of government.

“Every level of government and every branch has been touched by this, and it is the love of money. And I would say the love of power is truly the root of all evil, and that is what our nation is suffering right now,” he said.

Taylor, a veteran investigator with more than two decades in law enforcement, traces the origin of his discovery to narcotics work in Tennessee.

“I had started identifying cells of individuals in different parts of southern Middle Tennessee that had connections that were tied to narcotics trafficking. And basically what that made up was a DTO, a drug trafficking organization that I had identified, and I ended up following that case to the point that we developed a confidential informant and ended up with intelligence regarding a large load of narcotics that had come from,” he said.

According to Taylor, the case was previously shut down due to “political reasons.”

The conversation also discussed the alleged flow of illegal money into American politics. Finchem and Taylor cite major fundraising platforms such as ActBlue, which they claim have become sources for political money laundering.

“We’re looking upwards of over 1 trillion, into 2 trillion,” Taylor said.

Finchem elaborates on how donor data can be misused. “Imagine you have somebody who has a wad of cash that’s maxed out on their political contributions,” he explains.

They find someone who gave $5 and, “Suddenly, she's credited with giving a max donation to a particular candidate. Now, James O'Keefe, for his part, knocked on a few doors, and I think my favorite line from the little old lady was, ‘Take a look around, son, does it look like I can afford to give somebody a max donation for politics?’ So the question becomes, where's the money come from?”

Taylor warns the impact is far-reaching. “This will impact every level of government,” he says. “From your local township through your state officials, your judiciary, your district attorney conferences.”

There’s much more, so check out the full episode for more on the far-reaching implications of this discussion hosted by Kyles Reyes, owner of the 1776 Project, and Pastor Greg Farah of the Church of Eleven22.
