Suspected Jordanian terrorist caught trying to cross the U.S. - Canada border

LYNDEN, WA - Federal authorities with the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) believe that a Jordanian migrant who was caught trying to illegally enter the United States through the U.S.-Canada border is a terrorist.

According to Fox News, ICE Enforcement Removal Operations in Seattle said that 41-year-old Mohammed Hasan Abdellatif Albana was captured near the northern border of Lynden, Washington, but it is unclear when or where he snuck into the country. The agency said that a U.S. immigration official identified Albana as a "known or suspected terrorist."

The agency said that Albana was sent back to Jordan on November 15th after immigration proceedings. ERO Seattle Field Officer Director Drew H. Bostock said in a statement, "ERO Seattle is committed to the removal of noncitizens who pose a risk to the national security of the U.S. Our officers perform these removals dutifully as part of a federal law enforcement effort to protect Pacific Northwest Communities."

Since Biden has taken office, Border Patrol agents have intercepted 300 migrants whose name appear on the terror watchlist crossing the country's norther and southern borders. A copy of the report by the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee obtained by Fox News Digital says, "Under the Biden-Harris administration, of the more than 250 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist who were encountered by Border Patrol at the southwest border between fiscal year 2021 and 2023, DHS has released into American communities at least 99, with at least 34 others in DHS custody but not yet removed from the United States."

The staff interim report also found that immigration judges granted bond to at least 27 migrants on the watchlist who entered the country illegally, and that Border Patrol has encountered tens of thousands of migrants from countries that could present national security risks, including 2,134 Afghan nationals, 33,347 Chinese nationals, 541 Iranian nationals, 520 Syrian nationals, and 3,104 Uzbek nationals.

The report said, "That does not include the untold numbers of potential terrorists that evaded Border Patrol to enter the United States as part of nearly 2 million 'gotaways' since the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration." The report, which cited information provided to committee staff in June, also found that Border Patrol had encountered migrants on the terror watchlist from 36 different countries, including places with active terror presences. Those countries include: Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan, and Yemen.

According to the New York Post, Border Patrol agents arrested 35-year-old Palestinian Omar Shehada, whose name was listed on the terror watchlist for using "explosives/arms" for an unnamed terror group. A month before that, Border Patrol agents near San Diego caught three Palestinian migrants and another from Turkey, all of whom they determined were terror suspects associated with unnamed terror organization.

Border Patrol sources said that with overwhelming waves of illegal immigrants and not enough time to vet them all, they have knowingly released harmful people into the community. Some, like the eight Tajik nationals caught in a multi-state sting earlier in the year, have slipped through federal vetting procedures and been accidentally released into the U.S. by federal authorities.

Agents are still reportedly working to track down additional members of the group. Sources said that the group is said to have ties to ISIS and supposedly had plans to attack LGBTQ people in Philadelphia.
