Venezuelan illegal immigrant thanks Biden for release into US, fears Trump's reelection

HOUSTON, TX - An illegal immigrant from Venezuela speaking to Daily Caller reporters at a Houston airport offered his thanks to Democrat  President Joe Biden, and expressed that he is afraid of the re-election of former President Donald J. Trump.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation, the Venezuelan man who criminally crossed the U.S. southern border with Mexico vocally thanked Biden as he waited at the airport with a group of illegal immigrants from both Venezuela and Guinea. 
 

”Honestly, thank you for this opportunity … without your help we wouldn’t be here so that means a lot, that means a lot for me and that means a lot for all of us," the man began speaking to Biden in absentia and implicating the president in aiding and abetting his criminal violation of federal immigration law. 

"I have many friends who crossed the border and they’re grateful [now that they have] a good financial situation. They help their family from Venezuela as well, they try to bring them and I think that’s awesome,” the illegal immigrant added, who claimed to have lost his passport and instead used his paperwork given to him by the Border Patrol to travel.

Speaking with reporters, the man told them he is afraid of being deported if former President Trump wins re-election in 2024. He explained that he had crossed the border illegally in Eagle Pass, Texas only days before the area near the port of entry was shut down by the Texas National Guard, which has barred the Border Patrol and agents of the Department of Homeland Security from entering the area along the Rio Grande River.

The Venezuelan national claimed that he is seeking asylum in the U.S. and will have one year to prove his case. He said, ”I will stay here in Houston and I’ll go to my brother’s house and hopefully get a job and help my family,” adding “I want to work here. I asked for asylum and they gave me one year so I have to fight for my case.”

The Daily Caller did not indicate if the man provided any justification for his alleged asylum claim other than seeking employment in the U.S. When asked if he feels like he has a good case he told the DCNF reporter, "Yeah, I feel positive."

As previously reported by Law Enforcement Today, Biden's Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas recently confessed to a group of Boder patrol agents of the National Border Patrol Council that the release rate for illegal immigrants being released into the U.S. after committing a federal crime by entering the nation is “above 85%”

This was confirmed by the NBPC's official account on X which wrote that during a meeting, NBPC President Brandon Judd "told Mayorkas that Americans have the right to know the facts about what's going on at the border. It was at that point Mayorkas admitted that 'over 85%' of the people illegally crossing our border are being released."

Mayorkas claimed in an appearance before Congress, "We are doing everything we can, within a broken system, to incentivize noncitizens to use lawful pathways, to impose consequences on those who do not, and to reduce irregular migration."
