Virginia ICE Raid Brought Gun-Wielding Illegal Aliens Drug Ring To A Screeching Halt

NORTH CHESTERFIELD, VA – In the suburban area of North Chesterfield, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a joint operation with federal and local law enforcement this past November that saw a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic arrested who was allegedly selling cocaine out of a local barber shop.

In a December 15th press release from ICE, the agency detailed a joint operation conducted alongside ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Virginia State Police on November 11th which resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Alis Deyvi Goris-Andujar.

According to the agency, Goris-Andujar was reportedly selling cocaine out of a barber shop and was also allegedly found to be unlawfully in possession of two firearms at his residence at the time of his arrest. Officials say “a brief foot pursuit” ensued when federal authorities attempted to take Goris-Andujar into custody, but no other notable incidents related to the arrest were cited by the agency.

The two firearms retrieved by authorities during Goris-Andujar’s arrest were described as “an AR-type rifle” as well as “a pistol with high-capacity magazines.” Agency officials say Goris-Andujar entered the United States illegally on an unknown date and at an unknown location, adding that he’s expected to remain in ICE custody pending his removal proceedings.

ICE Washington, D.C. Field Office Director Robert Guadian issued a statement regarding the apprehension of Goris-Andujar, citing both the narcotics dealing allegations and alleged firearms violations as evidence of the dangers presented by criminal illegal aliens like Goris-Andujar.

“Alis Deyvi Goris-Andujar's arrest shows the strength of cooperation with our federal and state law enforcement partners,” Director Guadian noted, adding, “Goris-Andujar represents a significant threat to our Virginia communities that will not be tolerated. He was unlawfully in possession of two firearms while allegedly selling poison in our community. We will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing criminal alien offenders from Washington, D.C. and Virginia.”
