WASHINGTON, DC- In a stunning development, the FBI has forwarded files to Congress on an alleged Chinese plot to interfere in the 2020 election, lending credence to the claims of President Trump and others alleging that the election was not above board, the Washington Examiner reports.

According to the outlet, FBI Director Kash Patel has turned a trove of internal documents over to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Included in those documents are allegations that Chinese operatives sought to interfere in that election by mass-producing fake U.S. driver’s licenses to commit fraudulent mail-in voting.

Patel said on Monday that he had recently declassified the intelligence and forwarded it to Grassley, who has been leading oversight efforts to investigate foreign election interference and has pressed the FBI to release details surrounding the plot.

The Post Millennial reports that the information, dated August 2020 and citing Just the News, was never thoroughly investigated or corroborated, but instead recalled by intelligence agencies at the same time that then-FBI Director Christopher Wray testified in Congress that no known foreign plots to interfere in the 2020 election had been found.

Patel notes that the release of the documents fulfills oversight request made by Grassley and is another example of transparency in the agency promised by Patel and Assistant FBI Director Dan Bongino. Patel told Just the News, “Thanks to the oversight work and partnership of Chairman Grassley, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency at the people’s Bureau.” This represents a significant shift away from the secrecy and lack of transparency that characterized the agency under Wray and former FBI Director James Comey.

“These include allegations of plants from the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots–allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public.

“In accordance with Chairman Grassley’s request for documents, I have immediately declassified the material and turned the document over to the Chairman for further review.”

President Trump has long complained of the 2020 election being “stolen,” claims that were pooh-poohed by Democrats and which led to him and others standing accused of being “election deniers.” However, many had difficulty believing that Joe Biden received over 80 million votes, far above vote totals in either 2016 or 2024.

The intelligence report originated from a confidential source who alleged that the CCP was producing counterfeit licenses to create fraudulent voter identities. The goal was to enable Chinese nationals living in the U.S. to vote via mail-in ballots for Biden. Voting rules were changed for the 2020 election in favor of mail-in balloting in response to COVID-19, which ironically originated in Wuhan, China.

FBI leadership dismissed the allegations when they were raised, claiming the source needed to undergo further vetting. Despite that, Customs and Border Protection seized nearly 20,000 fake U.S. driver’s licenses during the period the intelligence surfaced, which seemed to corroborate the claims.

Despite the allegations being somewhat verified, the report was never made public and was withdrawn from further investigation shortly after being filed, Just the News reported.

Investigative journalist Julie Kelly published the contents of Grassley's letter on X:

Grassley has been a leading voice questioning the intelligence community’s handling of the 2020 election and possible interference threats. His investigation continues to seek to determine if political considerations influenced the decision to deep-six the CCP-related intelligence.

Any common graph will show that if you compare the 2016, 2020, and 2024 voter turnout there are too many voters in 2020. It is obvious that a huge fraud was committed.
