ICE Officers Bitten During Newark Riot as Man Faces Federal Charges

NEWARK, NJ- This is almost too hilarious. An anti-ICE nutcase who bit two ICE officers during a riot at Delaney Hall in New Jersey last week apparently likes to dabble in child pornography, according to The New York Post.

According to the New Jersey US Attorney’s Office, Brendan John Geier, 26, was charged with assaulting federal officers and causing bodily injury at the immigration facility. Geier is accused of “kicking and biting” ICE officers outside the Newark detention center, leaving them with “horrific wounds,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said.

Inflicting rabies upon ICE officers isn’t Geier’s only forte, according to The Post. He was previously charged with sexual abuse of children related to the dissemination and possession of child pornography,” the DOJ told The Post.

The Berks County District Attorney’s office said that Berks County detectives received a tip about suspected child porn being circulated through Skype via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in September, 2018.

Investigators later discovered “numerous digital images of suspected child pornography” on a laptop and iPhone seized from Geier’s dorm room, the DA’s office said at the time.

On March 12, 2019, second-degree felony child porn charges were filed against the little pervert. He was let out of jail on a $25,000 bond, according to jail records.

In 2021, Geier pleaded guilty to a lesser third-degree felony charge of criminal use of a communication facility. He was sentenced to two years probation, ordered to have “no contact with anyone under the age of 18,” and undergo “sex offender evaluation and treatment.”

Geier claims he is a “shut-in” and has “high-functioning autism.” He enjoys “spending most of his time alone in his room” on a website he created in 2024 and has an affinity for Japanese animation and rock music.

If convicted of the assault charge, the little canine wanna-be faces a 20 year jail term and $250,000 fine. The Post reached out to an attorney listed as representing Geier and no immediate response was received.

“As alleged in the Justice Department’s complaint, this violent rioter savagely bit an ICE law enforcement officer outside of Delaney Hall,” Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in a statement. “The Trump Administration will always stand with our law enforcement officers.”

“Anyone who assaults a law enforcement officer will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

On Friday, Geier appeared before Magistrate Judge Cari Fais and was released with GPS monitoring and a curfew, and is banned from returning to Delaney Hall, the DOJ announced.

“This defendant’s court appearance is a clear step toward justice after 21 individuals were arrested for assaulting federal officers at Delaney Hall from May 26-29,” ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations’ Newark acting Field Office Director Arthur Wilson Jr. said in a statement.

“Instead of peacefully protesting, rioters blocked ICE officers conducting their lawful duties, ignored repeated lawful commands and threatened violence,” WIlson continued. “Our brave ICE officers risked their lives to protect everyone present inside and out of Delaney Hall and we will continue to pursue charges against agitators and ensure violent offenders have real consequences.”
