Man ejected 30 feet into the air in a crash after eluding police with his one-year-old in the car

NORTH OLMSTED, OH - FOX News has obtained video of a 30-year-old man being ejected from his vehicle after he lost control while eluding police. The car can be seen flipping several times with his one-year-old child in the back seat.

A North Olmsted police officer attempted to pull over Antoine L. Lindsey for a license plate/brake light violation. According to the accident report, Lindsey was driving a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling eastbound on Brookpark Road.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle with a spike strip, however, Lindsey can be seen in the video running over part of the strip, but he continues driving. A short time later, he speeds up while attempting to pass another vehicle when he lost control. The accident occured at 5:25 p.m., according to the accident report.

Dashcam footage shows the Chrysler spinning before flipping several times as snow and car parts fly into the air. Footage also shows Lindsey ejected approximately 30 feet into the air before landing on the ground.

Officer Juergens approaches Lindsey with his weapon drawn. The officer can be heard shouting at Lindsey to get on the ground and the officer radio to dispatches, “We have a kid in the car. He’s crying. The male is at gunpoint.”

Keeping his attention on Lindsey, Officer Juergens approaches the car, where the one-year-old is strapped into a car seat screaming.  The child did not appear to be hurt; however, he was transported to Fairview General Hospital as a precaution.

Lindsey was also transported to Fairview General Hospital after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. He has been charged with having weapons under disability, failure to comply with a police signal, and endangering children. Lindsey was also driving on a suspended driver’s license.
