BLADENSBURG, MD - An officer with the Bladensburg Police Department (BPD) is being hailed a hero after he jumped into action and pulled an injured man out of a burning car.

BDP said the injured driver was taken to the hospital for head injuries. He is doing OK and is expected to make a full recovery. The victim in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. Bowie resident and church pastor Patrick Graham said that the officer's quick action was heroic.
