DULUTH, MN - There are three undeniable things you can count on–death, taxes, and unhinged leftist snowflakes getting triggered by the most mundane of issues.

The latest incident that forced whiny snowflakes to seek out safe rooms, therapy dogs, or fidget spinners was when Chick-fil-A last week supplied free sandwiches to staff and visitors at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. That display of kindness was met with righteous indignation by hospital staff, The Daily Wire reported, forcing the hospital’s owner, Essentia Health, to issue an apology.

“We have received feedback from some colleagues who were concerned or offended by this occurrence, and we value colleagues feeling comfortable expressing their reservations,” Tammy Kritzer, senior vice president for regional operations at the healthcare conglomerate, wrote in an email to staff that The Daily Wire obtained.

“We would like to thank our colleagues who had the courage to speak up to widen our lens of inclusivity, and we appreciate all colleagues continuing to live our values of respect and justice,” Kritzker wrote.

The alphabet community’s issue with Chick-fil-A began when company board chairman Dan Cathy, son of the fast food chain’s father, made a series of public comments opposing same-sex marriage. Those comments were Cathy’s personal comments and did not reflect the views of the company, nor was the company ever accused of any type of sex discrimination based on sexual preference.

That hasn’t stopped radical LGBTQ activists from targeting the company for a series of silly boycotts. They’ve expressed concern over the company’s donations to groups like the Salvation Army, which the radical LGBTQ movement claims discriminates against that population.

In reality, however, Chick-fil-A has a record of supporting “diversity, equity, and inclusion” and does not discriminate or tolerate harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Chick-fil-A prides itself on investing in the communities where its restaurants are located. The company donates $25,000 to support a local food pantry in each market where it operates.

Moreover, the company awards scholarships to Team Members and service-minded community leaders.

The radical left seemingly has an issue with the company’s Christian values. For example, they close on Sundays to honor the Sabbath. Their corporate purpose is “to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”

In the email, Essentia Health distanced itself from Chick-fil-A, noting that the free lunch was “not intended to endorse a business or business practices.”

“We respect all we are honored to serve and employ, and situations such as these are an important reminder to consider all viewpoints. As we strive to be thoughtful and inclusive as an organization, we will have learnings along the way,” the email read.

Apparently, Essentia Health is led by cowards. The email said the company would “work to be better” to placate its triggered employees. The refused request for comment from The Daily Wire.

Leftist cities have bought into the hype against the company, with city-owned airports in Buffalo, New York, and San Antonio, Texas, banning the chain from opening at those locations.

Essentia, which claims the high ground regarding its treatment of LGBTQ employees and their “allies,” they cannot claim the moral high ground when it concerns other issues. For example, the hospital provides gender-affirming hormones and other treatments to minors. They have performed at least five sex change operations on minors, according to the Stop the Harm database, according to The Daily WIre.

Morality is in the eyes of the beholder.
