New York Vigilantes Beat Down Alleged Subway Attacker in Dramatic Video

NEW YORK CITY, NY - On Sunday, June 29th, a group of vigilantes delivered street justice to a man who allegedly attacked a young woman at a Brooklyn subway station, new video reveals.

The alleged suspect, 42-year-old Fredrick Marshall, is said to have followed the 20-year-old woman onto the Manhattan-bound J train platform at Norwood Avenue in Cypress Hill around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, when he started arguing with her the New York Post reported.

Video of the alleged attack, posted by TikTok user @nicabori5, shows Marshall wearing all white and grabbing the woman as she tried to walk away.

The victim began screaming for help, prompting several men to gather on the elevated platform.

"Let her go!" one of the men yelled.

Marshall did not listen and allegedly shoved the woman to the ground and bear-hugged her as she attempted to run away a second time, according to police and prosecutors.

It was at that time that additional bystanders jumped in to help and pulled the victim away from Marshall, police said.

The group of men appeared to attack Marshall on the platform as one of the vigilantes yelled, "I'm gonna (expletive) you up!"

Thanks to the group of vigilantes, the victims was able to escape and could be seen crying on the phone with her mom as she ran to the other end of the platform.

The woman was treated on scene by EMS for shoulder pain and minor injuries to her stomach and arms, police confirmed.

Marshall was arrested at the scene and upon searching him, police found a knife and a blackjack.

A criminal complaint states that he was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree attempted assault, and second-degree harassment.

Marshall reportedly has no prior arrests and was released from jail the very next day. He was granted supervised release during his arraignment, as the charges are not bail-eligible the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office said.

That's not vigilantes. That's people coming to the defense of another person who is in immediate danger.

Let's be realistic... this is New York so the only justice the attacker might face anyway was that given to him on the platform.
