Obnoxious, anti-police 'squad' member Cori Bush getting trounced in her primary race against Wesley Bell

Only weeks after the only male member of “the Squad” was sent packing, it appears that another, the insufferable Cori Bush (D-MO) may be following.

According to an exclusive New York Post report. Bush, engaged in a primary contest with St. Louis prosecuting attorney Wesley Bell, is currently being trounced by over 20 points according to recent polling conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for the CCA Action Fund.

The poll shows Bell at 56%, Bush at 33% and the remaining 11% were either undecided or were backing two lesser-known candidates, Ron Harshaw and Maria Chappelle-Nadal.

Last month, Bowman, who famously set off a fire alarm in the US Capitol earlier this year to delay a vote, was routed by moderate Westchester County Executive George Latimer for the 16th Congressional District in New York City, which stretches from Co-Op City in the Bronx to suburban Westchester County.

The squad is a gaggle of primarily angry, anti-Semitic Marxist females, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pessley (D-MA), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN). A newer member is Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who is completely unhinged.

Bowman was sent packing in part due to his support for Hamas’s actions against Israel last October, and it appears Bush, also a critic of Israeli tactics against the terrorist group, may suffer the same fate.

In contrast to Bush, Bell has shown support for Israel and that country’s right to defend itself and supports the targeting of Hamas in retaliation for the October 7, 2023 attack that killed over 1,000 Israeli citizens. Hamas is still holding a number of people hostage, including some Americans.

“Cori Bush has wasted her time in Congress to focus on her own fame in ‘The Squad’--while her constituents suffer,” said Pastor Marc Little, spokesman for the anti-Bush CCA Action Fund, a super PAC.

“The poll proves St. Louis wants a representative who will champion our community and its prosperity and safety, and who will defend America–not a Cori Bush who wants to tear it all down.”

Bush, a two-term incumbent, is viewed favorably by 50% of registered Democrats and unfavorably by 47%, the same survey found.

Conversely, 51% of Democrats disapprove of her job performance, while only 46% approve.

In comparison, Bell receives a 70% favorability rating from respondents, while only 18% take the opposite view. Pollsters say that Bush’s negatives pose a problem for her.

Bush was the source of controversy a couple years back when she was demanding the defunding of police while she was spending big bucks on her own private security, and the hypocrisy made her a target of fierce criticism.

As a result of her security expenditures, Bush confirmed that she was under investigation by the Department of Justice that was looking into her campaign spending on security services, which just happened to employ a former security guard whom she married.

The Post reached out to the Bush campaign for comment, however did not receive a response.

Bush has received endorsements from a number of unions, including SEIU Healthcare, National Nurses United, and Communication Workers of America. It is pretty much certain that she received no such endorsements from public safety related unions representing police and firefighters.

A survey conducted in June by the Mellman Group for a group called the Democratic Majority for Israel found Bell leading Bush by only one point, 43% to 42%. That poll confirmed the other poll concerning Bell’s popularity and high job performance rating, beating her in both measures.

In April, the Mellman Group accurately predicted that Latimer would trounce Bowman by double digits.

Pro-Israel money is pouring into elevating Bell to the Democratic nomination, with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and the Democratic Majority for Israel spending big dollars to elect Bell and oust Bush.

AIPAC’s super PAC, the United Democracy Project, has already spent $4.2, according to AdImpact Politics.
