Wire service refuses to publish law enforcement Trump endorsement, but pushes (illegal?) Harris endorsement

Law Enforcement Today, Blue Lives Matter, and the Police Tribune are the most significant and extensive pro-law enforcement publications worldwide, with nearly five million followers. We recently submitted a press release to a wire service, EIN, in which we proudly endorsed Donald J. Trump for president. As an endorsement, this release obviously offered the opinion that President Trump is the only choice for law enforcement. This was not stated as fact.

Imagine our surprise when EIN refused to publish the endorsement because it contained “opinion,” claiming it violated their “editorial guidelines.” We reviewed their “guidelines” and found that under “Quality Content,” EIN said any releases had to be attributed as “opinions belonging to the organization, and not state them as fact.”

It's clear that these editorial guidelines are selectively enforced, targeting conservatives and conservative organizations while turning a blind eye to liberal ones. Or, to be more precise, they only seem to apply to Trump supporters, not Harris supporters.

For proof, EIN published an endorsement from the “365 Foundation”, a “woman-centric non-profit.” As an example of causes the 365 Foundation supports, one was a pride month exhibit featuring a lesbian artist.

Another was “Advocating for Change,” a program on “prison reform and reentry programs.”

If you go through their website, it’s a “who’s who” of far-left causes.

EIN told Law Enforcement Today that our endorsement violated their guidelines because it expressed “opinions.” Organizations can not, EIN writes, “state [opinions] as facts.”

It's a double standard that doesn't seem to apply to liberal organizations, however.

In their press release endorsing Harris, the 365 Foundation wrote, “With recent political developments posing a serious threat to women’s rights under Project 2025, endorsed by Trump and his ally Vance, the need to support candidates like Kamala Harris has never been more urgent. It’s crucial to safeguard gender equality in these challenging times.”

However, the 365 Foundation's endorsement of Harris was not presented as their "opinion." It was stated as fact, a clear violation of EIN’s "editorial policies." Their claim about Project 2025, which is not endorsed by the Trump campaign, is a blatant lie presented as fact. It is the brainchild of The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.

In our release, we mentioned our letter to President Trump, telling him, “He’s the ONLY choice for law and order in America.” The facts bear that out since crime has exploded under the current administration.

In our release, we attributed all our reasons for supporting Trump to the owner of 1776 Project, which runs the pro-police publications, Kyle Reyes. He cited the 45th president’s “commitment towards securing the southern border,” his “commitment towards nominating judges strong on matters of law and order,” and “his support in the battle against drug and sex trafficking in America.”

How does our endorsement of President Trump differ from the 365 Foundation’s endorsement of Harris? Overall, not much, except for the stark fact that the 365 Foundation lied about Trump and Vance’s endorsement of Project 2025.

There is one huge difference, however. The 365 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, while Law Enforcement Today, Blue Lives Matter, and Police Tribune are not. As a 501(c)(3), the 365 Foundation is, according to the Internal Revenue Service, “absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.”

Non-profits are only permitted to participate in political campaigns in “a non-partisan manner.”

This is what conservative organizations, particularly those that support law enforcement and the rule of law, are up against. The media machine is hell-bent on hiding the truth while pushing far-left propaganda. EIN’s “editorial” decision bears that out.
