Post-Holiday Horror as Teen Allegedly Shoots Parents in Pennsylvania

FREEPORT TOWNSHIP, PA - A teen from Pennsylvania has been accused of shooting his parents, killing his mother, just one day after Christmas.

Police responded to a report of a shooting involving two victims at a home located on Garrison Road around 1:58 p.m. on Friday, December 26, according to a press release from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).

Upon arriving on scene, police found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died. Police also located an adult male victim with a gunshot wound at the home. He was also transported to a nearby hospital and was later released in "stable condition." An investigation revealed that the two victims were husband and wife, PEOPLE reported.

PSP has identified the alleged shooter as 18-year-old Jarrod Noll, the couple's son. Following the alleged shooting, Noll fled on foot. "An extensive search of the surrounding area was conducted, however, the suspect was not located at that time," PSP said in a statement.

PSP then launched a manhunt, warning the public that the suspect "may be armed and dangerous," adding that "the public is advised not to approach the suspect if seen."

In an update on X at 6:01 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, PSP said Noll was found and taken into custody by the West Virginia State Police "without incident." During the search for Noll, PSP Sergeant Richard Sizer said, "We used tracking dogs, we used helicopters, and we used police on foot searching rough terrain."

"Obviously, when you have someone on the run with a homicide warrant, on the run with a gun, it is a huge danger to the community," Sizer said.

PSP said that Noll's younger siblings were home when the alleged shooting took place, but that the shooting itself occurred outside the home. The siblings are now in the custody of a family member.

Noll is being held in police custody in West Virginia until he is extradited to Pennsylvania. He has been charged with homicide and attempted homicide.
