Peruvian illegal immigrant arrested for allegedly abducting high school student in Virginia

MANASSAS, VA- A 23-year-old Peruvian illegal immigrant, Jesus Enrique Ramirez Cabrera, was arrested in Manassas, Virginia, on charges of abduction, robbery, impersonation of law enforcement, and petit larceny. The incident occurred when Cabrera allegedly abducted a teenage girl while she was walking to school.

According to the Manassas Police Department, the incident took place near the intersection of Quarry Road and Zebedee Street. The girl reported that Cabrera, driving a red Jeep SUV— possibly a Patriot or Commander— approached her on Clover Hill Road and identified himself as a police officer. He then instructed her to get into his vehicle.

Cabrera allegedly exited the vehicle, grabbed her arm, and forced her into the front passenger seat before driving away. The girl managed to escape when the vehicle reached Quarry Road, where she was later found in distress by a resident who called the police.

Initially, police reported they were searching for a Hispanic man in his 40s with black hair and a beard. However, after a two-day investigation, detectives identified Cabrera as the suspect. He was arrested and taken to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, where he was processed and held without bond.

Federal sources revealed that Cabrera had been captured at the Arizona border in December and released into the United States. His illegal immigration status has raised concerns regarding the handling of his case.

The investigation continues as authorities look into the details surrounding the abduction. Police are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
