Since some people are 'above the law,' it's time to pardon all non-violent J6 participants, people who prayed outside abortion clinics

WASHINGTON, DC - “Nobody is above the law!” During the presidential campaign, we heard those words uttered for what seemed like a thousand times, emanating from Democrats such as Kamala Harris, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), former Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), the bloviating blabbermouths on MSLSD such as Joy Reid and Jen Psaki, and the hens on The View.

We also heard the same from the demented dunderhead, Joe Biden. What none of those above hypocrites mentioned is that only applies to Republicans, especially President-elect Donald Trump.

On Sunday, despite repeated promises that he would not do so, Joe Biden issued a sweeping pardon of his allegedly former-crackhead son, Hunter Biden, for crimes he committed, including tax evasion and firearms violations, Fox News reports. Hunter Biden was convicted in two separate federal cases earlier this year, one for tax evasion and the other for firearms violations.

The White House made the announcement Sunday night as Joe Biden prepared to flee the country for a trip to Eastern Africa. What made the pardon even more egregious was that it was applied to offenses that Hunter Biden “has committed or may have committed” from Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 1, 2024. This period covers the time from just before the younger Biden was appointed to the board of Burisma. In this corrupt Ukrainian energy company, it has been alleged he engaged in some nefarious business dealings, extending the scope of the pardon to cover these allegations.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter,” Biden wrote in a statement. “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively and unfairly prosecuted.”

Biden went on to hilariously claim that Hunter Biden was “treated differently” by prosecutors from the same Department of Justice that conducted an early morning raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in West Palm Beach, Florida, in a search for “classified documents.”

“Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form,” Biden claimed. “Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.”

Biden claimed it was “raw politics” that caused a judge to strike down a sweetheart plea deal last year that was widely criticized as too lenient. Many found this claim hard to believe, given the circumstances.

“There has been an effort to break Hunter–who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution,” Biden wrote. “In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me–and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.”

“I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision,” the statement concluded.

Hunter Biden signed a legal acknowledgment of the pardon on Sunday.

Biden’s pardon of Hunter is a vast departure from his repeated statements that he would not pardon him when questioned about it.

His intersectionality-diverse press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, has repeatedly told White House reporters that Biden would not pardon his son.

Earlier this year, Biden told ABC News that he would rule out pardoning Hunter and replied, “Yes.” Days later, after a jury found Hunter Biden guilty of three firearm offenses, Joe Biden repeated that he would not pardon him.

“I am not going to do anything,” Joe Biden said. “I will abide by the jury’s decision.”

Hints that Biden might pardon Hunter surfaced after he dropped out of the presidential race in July. As jury selection was about to begin, Hunter Biden entered a surprise guilty plea.

“I will not subject my family to more pain, more invasions of privacy, and needless embarrassment,” Hunter Biden said in an emailed statement. “For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty.”

Many throughout Washington have long believed Biden would pardon his son sometime after the November election. For example, earlier this year, Sen.Ted Cruz (R-TX) said on his podcast, “Verdict With Ted Cruz,” that he believed Joe Biden would pardon Hunter “sometime in December.”

Before November’s election, President-elect Trump signaled he might consider a pardon for Hunter Biden if he was elected in November.

“I wouldn’t take it off the books,” he told radio host Hugh Hewitt. “See, unlike Joe Biden, despite what they’ve done to me, where they’ve gone after me so viciously…and Hunter’s a gad boy.

“There’s no question about it. He’s been a bad boy,” Trump told Hewitt. “But I happen to think it’s very bad for our country.”

After news of Biden’s pardon of his son got out, Trump hinted (again) that he might pardon the “J-6 hostages,” as he called them. He had previously said he would pardon individuals in connection with the January 6, 2021, US Capitol siege, particularly those who were convicted of non-violent offenses. He might also consider pardoning those who have yet to face trial after nearly four years of languishing in jail.

Investigative journalist Julie Kelly, who has reported extensively on the January 6 persecutions, called for Trump to immediately announce he would pardon everyone arrested in connection with J6 on the day he is inaugurated.

Meanwhile, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) slammed Biden for pardoning his son.

“Joe Biden, for 50 years in public office, has always pridefully boasted about his word as a Biden…I guess we now know that his word as a Biden is trash,” Cotton told Fox News anchors Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer on “America’s Newsroom.”

“For months, he and his White House spokespersons promised the American people they wouldn’t pardon Hunter Biden,” Cotton continued. “But not only did he lie about that, look at the scope of the pardon. It’s far beyond the offenses for which he was convicted. It’s any crime he might have committed whatsoever for eleven years.

“Which raises the question…what crimes did Joe Biden think his son’s been committing for the last decade-plus?” Cotton asked.

Since apparently now Democrats no longer believe that “no one is above the law,” it should make potential pardons of Jan. 6 protesters, people who pray outside abortion clinics, and others by Trump that much easier.

Pardon them all . They are political prisoners. The people praying outside abortion mills should never have been arrested. Again, political prisoners .

I think everybody prosecuted (persecuted) for involvement in the J6 fiasco should be pardoned or have their sentence commuted. They have done enough time.
