The challenges I faced as a 13-year veteran of the Seattle Police Department showed me two things.
1) Isolation is deadly.
2) There is a God who cares.
In law enforcement, you never want to be in a challenging situation alone. You rely on your backup to show up quickly and have your six. I knew I had officers I could trust on the street, but as a Christian I felt alone. I didn’t know who I could trust when the realities of the job came knocking at my door. I struggled to find resources to help me walk with Jesus, and also do my job well.
Over those 13 years as I learned how to live out my faith at work, the Lord grew my burden to see the culture of isolation change. Because of this, my family and I stepped out in faith for one purpose; to bring the hope of Christ to the brave men and women who serve sacrificially, and do it together in unity with others.
The solution became clear, build a national gospel focused first responder alliance.
Mission First Alliance is uniting and equipping chaplains, church leaders, and first responder organizations to be more effective in supporting those in the first responder culture, who so often feel isolated and alone. This alliance concept in the first responder community has never been done before, and you can be part of it.
You are invited to our very first National Networking Conference, on September 20-21, 2024 in Chattanooga, TN. This free event will be an opportunity to come together, to learn from each other, to encourage each other and to change the culture of isolation, to a culture of collaboration and community.
This event is for chaplains, church leaders, business leaders, ministry leaders, active or retired first responders, and their spouses. Let’s come together to be more effective in reaching our nation’s first responders, and their families, with hope in Christ. There is strength in numbers, there is hope in Christ, together we can have a greater impact.
Please Register for each day separately as space is limited.
Friday’s registration will include an outdoor social and appreciation event where first responder families are invited to come and enjoy free dinner and fun activities for the kids with live worship. It will also be a fun time for conference leaders to connect, and highlight amazing support resources.
Saturday’s registration will include a one-day networking conference, where there will be opportunities to be encouraged and connected with other leaders. You will hear from nationally recognized authors and leaders, and be inspired by how the Lord is moving all over the country. You won’t want to miss this opportunity.
