"This is TERRIFYING": US officials discussed supplying Ukraine with nukes in its war with Russia

WASHINGTON, DC - Remember when Republicans were called the party of warmongers? Yes, good times. That no longer appears to be the case, with reports out of Washington, DC, indicating US and European officials have discussed providing Ukraine with nuclear weapons in its ongoing war with Russia, ZeroHedge reports. Any deployment of such weapons would, of course, escalate the war and likely see Russia use nukes against the US and our NATO allies.

Citing a report in the New York Times, the officials talked about ways to deter Russia from further expanding its territory inside Ukraine while also being under the belief that Moscow will not seek to escalate the war further before President-elect Donald Trump takes office in January.

Shortly after Trump was elected early in November, the US and our allies began looking at ways to rush weapons to Kyiv, including those capable of striking targets inside Russia.

Despite that, US officials with knowledge of intelligence community assessments told the Times that they don’t believe such weapons will significantly alter the situation currently being faced by Ukraine.

“US spy agencies have assessed that speeding up the provisions of weapons, ammunition, and material for Ukraine will do little to change the course of the war in the short term, the Times reported.

The Biden administration is considering several significant escalations in the war in an attempt to help Ukraine continue its existence before Trump’s January 20 inauguration.

“US and European officials are discussing deterrence as a possible security guarantee for Ukraine, such as stockpiling a conventional arsenal sufficient to strike a punishing blow if Russia violates a ceasefire.’

The Times continued, “Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union.”

Some officials who spoke to the Times are under the bizarre belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t escalate the war until Trump returns to the presidency.

“But the escalation risk of allowing Ukraine to strike Russia with US-supplied weaponry has diminished with the election of Mr. Trump,” the report said, adding, “Biden administration officials believe, calculating that Putin of Russia knows he has to wait only two months for the new administration.”

Despite that assertion, earlier this month, Putin updated Russia’s nuclear doctrine, which would allow Moscow to launch a nuclear strike if attacked by a non-nuclear country, such as Ukraine, that is supported by a nuclear state such as the United States, NBC News reported. That new doctrine was approved on the same day Ukraine used U.S.-supplied long-range ATACMS missiles inside Russia.

The assessment by US intelligence officials was made under the belief that President-elect Trump and his choice for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, may act more favorably toward Russia. That flies in the face of Trump’s record during his first administration, where he ramped up sanctions on Moscow, provided lethal weapons to Ukraine, and booted several Russian diplomats out of the United States.

Sensing the weakness of the Bidenb administration, Putin in September said he preferred Kamala Harris to win the presidency in the United States. “Trump has imposed as many sanctions on Russia as any president has ever imposed before, and if Harris is doing well, perhaps she will refrain from such actions,” Putin said.

The New York Times report spoke to the report that  officials suggested the use of nuclear weapons:

Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union. That would be an instant and enormous deterrent. But such a step would be complicated and have serious implications.

Andriy Sagorodnyuk, a former Ukrainian defense minister, said in an interview that for a successful cease-fire, Ukraine and its allies must reverse the momentum on the front line to set conditions for talks.

Despite long-standing claims by far-left Democrats that Trump and, more recently, Gabbard are “agents of Putin,” there has been zero evidence to suggest either is. Numerous investigations into Trump have come up goose eggs, while the Times reported earlier this month that there is no evidence Gabbard, an active-duty member of the Hawaii National Guard, has any ties to Putin or Russia.

I think what we are witnessing is "If-I-can't-have-you-no-one-can" syndrome from Marxists regarding America. "If we go down, America goes down with us."

The last news article I read spoke of half the U.S. aid, especially the cash, was laundered and much returned to the Democrat Party. So I would like to know exactly who is going to get these nuclear weapons ? WHO ?
